On Wednesday night Ms. Stewart's attorneys agreed to show additional information to congressional investigators looking into her sale of 3,928 shares of ImClone systems on December 27, 2001.
That was the day before the Food and Drug Administration agreed rejected ImClones application for approval of its cancer drug, Erbitux.
The news sent ImClone shares tumbling.
Ms. Stewart's attorneys had handed over 1,000 pages of documents to the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Tuesday.
But committee staff members complained that some of the documents appeared to have been 'redacted' with important information blacked out.
Ken Johnson, committee spokesman, said on Wednesday night that Ms. Stewart's lawyers had agreed to show the original documents to investigators.
The class action lawsuit filed yesterday by investors alledges that Ms. Stewart failed to disclose her activities to the public 'despite knowing of her illicit insider sales and the forseeability that the governments investigations would uncover her wrongdoing and have a materially adverse impact on her own stock.'

My, how sub-tull.
If you're going to obstruct justice, at least show a little creativeness...

Martha is a former stockbroker herself and well understands the market--she also has friends in high places and so what--so, she got a tip....everyone who is anyone in NY gets tips daily, I would imagine...
Anyone who can bring us back to refined tastes in dining & decorating deserves a break--I love greens and blues together and she has made all conflicting shades of greens and blues (with a hint of yellow or brown) back in vogue!
Bravo to the doyenne (is this the word?) of absolute taste!!!!

Martha has more b*alls than the whole NBA to hand in redacted documents as a private citizen.

Her most recent chapter in her decorating book is helpful hints on removing ink from paper without leaving trace markings.

Yes! I must agree! But what DOES one do with gray walls and stainless steel fixtures and applicances? And mono-colored sheets! I shudder! No carpet on the floors and the mattress is so thin? And you can't get a nail in the walls for pictures or fabrics! And the vertical striped door!
And all this with orange colored outfits!

Must be terrible not to have a Democrat in the White house to order all this be covered up for a contributor.

Bravo to the doyenne (is this the word?) of absolute taste!!!!You must be joking. Martha "Stewart" is to taste what Ralph "Lauren" is to clothes -- a poseur, an ethnic who has created a false persona as an arbiter elegantum of WASP taste. She would no more be received in the houses she recreates than "Lauren" would be admitted even as a guest in the clubs whose ambiance he seeks to recreate.
Martha would have done far better, if she sought the substance as well as the form, to have actually absorbed the earliest editions of Miss Post's Etiquette, in which she emphasizes the importance of character as well as manners.

All the fault of President Bush, and republicans.

She may be a "poseur" to you, but a lot of people are listening to her ideas. I live in an area where there are many renovated homes and Martha's "colors" are running rampant!
I thought my post would get some nifty reponses! Aaaaalright!

I think I heard on TV that she ALSO sold her OWN co.s stock when she realized that the scandal was going to come down on her. She and some of her friends DUMPED MSO stock before it went down!!!

Apparently she is already planning a new series on tasteful Fed Pen jail cell decoration and protocol tips on receiving visitors.

But committee staff members complained that some of the documents appeared to have been 'redacted' with important information blacked out. She just wanted to show the committee that if you fold up the paper just so, then clip the corners with your stainless steel Sharper Image shears, fold the result inside out, the black patterns against the white background makes for a lovely floral arrangement, to place in your Stuben vase.
