Hmmm... I think I misread your previous posts, Dimensio. I thought you were pro-Separation of Church and State. I'm not interested in arguing or debating the point with anyone here. But, I've had it. I'm tired of being polite to the "Christians" distributing flyers and preaching to me and my family at malls and on street corners. I'm tired of being polite to the Jehovah's Witnesses at my front door. And I'm tired of watching my family's hardearned tax dollars used to support religious nonsense.

I am a homeschooler. I have never collected welfare in my life. I've never asked the gov't for anything in my life, though we've probably paid more than our share in taxes. I think the Income Tax should be abolished, and I think the gov't should get out of the business of educating our children. I agree with so many so-called "conservative" principles, yet you all lose me on this one - it is quite obvious that many of you favor big government, as long as it's a gov't endorsing your own viewpoint.

This issue is not about "free speech". When the gov't forcibly takes your money to endorse a religious view, that is NOT free speech. I don't know why you all don't seem to understand that. I don't care if anyone flames away at this post. I've had it with being polite. And this is all I'm saying on the matter. I voted for George Bush Sr. TWICE, and I voted for his son in 2000. But, I will not be voting for him the next time. I know my opinion is in the minority, but I won't be polite again the next time someone else is preaching in my face at the mall, on the street corner, or at my front door.

You should reread post #3 and reconsider your assesment with the understanding that I often dress my comments with heavy sarcasm.

You seem to be threading two concepts together simultaneously: the people preaching (free speech) and taxes (appropriations). Well, let's get the field in order, shall we? May we, for sake of argument, state the rightful place of the federal government is a)interstate commerce and b) national defense, and nothing more? And may we also posit that the state and local governments and the people reserve all powers and rights remaining?

Then, is your objection to the fedgov using money thus, or the state, or the local, or all of the above? Do you have an objection to the preachers on legal grounds, or are you just complaining about them?
