My prediction is not guilty as well, AP. The best the defense was hoping for was a hung jury. The chances of 12 people all coming to the conclusion of "not guilty" are very small, given what the jurors asked for while in the jury room.
Guilty will be the verdict.

My info is that Not Guilty originally was ahead 7-3, 2 not sure, but perhaps the (fewer) arguing for guilty were so stubborn this was the only way out.

The chances of 12 people all coming to the conclusion of "not guilty" are very smallOpposite. The prosecution must prove beyond a shadow of a doubt. We had an open and shut case and still had to convince two jurors.

I'm agreeing with you, crystalk.

Having served on a 1st degree murder jury, I can see a "not guilty". Wow. That must be quite a story. Mind if I ask?

I sure hope you are right because I do not think he is guilty..

Guilty will be the verdict. Unless the jury consists of people with balls, then it will be not guilty.

You think he's not guilty? I haven't followed the details of the trial, but thought there was overwhelming forensic evidence. What do you see that I missed?

The murderer killed the guy and stuffed him into his car trunk and drove around with him for almost two years. Imagine the smell. No one actually witnessed the murder. HJs wife was feeding the cat outside. She comes back in to find the victim's brains all over the living room (30.06) and her husband telling her to "do something".
It took us 2 hours to send him up the river.

I want him to be guilty, but this looks like another OJ case to me.

Fine. I don't really care. The players in the case, except for little Danielle, are so despicable they ought to all be in jail.

You are a nutcase.
To: sinkspur
Yup.
To: McLynnan
The guy has a great attorney, that's for sure. Sowed the seeds of doubt.

Lovely. Gives you a warm fuzzy feeling about your fellow man, I'm sure ;)
So this was a 1'st degree murder conviction? Was this in a state where you then had to consider capital punishment? Even if it wasn't, would being on the jury have given you enough information to feel comfortable in sending this guy to meet his maker?
To: AppyPappy
If you came a guilty conclusion in your civic duty by serving on a jury why wouldn't this jury? Were you there? Did you hear all of the evidence this jury heard in the three months the trial took place?
