We saw our President turn to Islam immediately after 9-11.
Of course there are those who are going to follow.

Very scary. I just do not understand how or why the push to "understand" Islam, practice and study its religion, and even dress as they do. It appears there is an effort to change the view of what 9/11 was - from a horrible attack of war against Americans to merely a religious act of faith to their god.
We are such fools to allow them to get a foothold in our society and to begin their jihad against each of us and our chosen religion and God.

The only folks in this country I see becoming Muslim are black. They seem to hate "Whitey" so much they wish to distroy the country from within. Most seem to support Mugabe and his methods as well.
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

It's not yet too late to stop mixing religion with politics; otherwise the "other" religions will demand equal status and they will win out in the end. Keep religion on religion web sites where it is treated properly. Mixing politics and religion dilutes them both.

Perhaps the push towards Islam is because human beings are "spiritual beings" and were designed to worship. Christianity and Judaism have gotten a bad rap from the liberals who portray them as "mythical and evil". And spirituality abhors a vacuum - thus, when something new and mysterious comes along, the curious will chase after it. The Bible tells about men, in the last days, searching after teachers that will satisfy their itching ears, and holding to a form of religion while denying its power. Perhaps this is what we are witnessing in these conversions.

that the blissful ignorance of the uneducated is being traded for something else - namely, indoctrination. "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge"- Hosea 4:6

I respectfully disagree. Granted all the abuses in the past in the name of Christianity, still, where ever Christianity has touched a society, it has left it better. And the voices of religious people are needed to ensure that there is a good moral foundation for the work that is done. In so far as religious people speak to those issues, they have a place. Religious speech is not prohibited by the First Ammendment. Granted, there are bizarre voices crying in the wilderness, so to speak, but that shouldn't be the rationale behind silencing them.

I am reminded of how God used Babylon to punish the Israelites. Are we starting to see Americas's Nebuchadnezzar?

Saw an article the other day that said there are a large number of Hispanics converting to Islam, and there is a white liberal element that is also.
To: Texas Mom
That seems to be the trend. The people in this country better wake up!

How long do you think those conversions will last? Me thinks it is the thrill of being "different" that pulls people in, but in the end, those who find out what Islam really is will rebel, don't ya think?

The only folks in this country I see becoming Muslim are black. Becoming Muslim, yes.
Quite a few (white, Muslim) Albanian immigrants in New York City, though. Not unusual to get mugged in the South Bronx by a white guy these days, unlike thirty years ago. Profiling? You bet.

It appears there is an effort to change the view of what 9/11 was - from a horrible attack of war against Americans to merely a religious act of faith to their god.Or, it's just the opposite. I think their objective is to distance Islam from 9/11, to somehow convince otherwise rational onlookers that Islam is "misunderstood," that the Muslims who claim to practice it are lovers of peace and harmony.
The PC folks wish to marginalize those who practice true, fundamental (i.e. Koran-believing) Islam. Instead, we should all let the facts convince the misled "peace-loving" Muslims to open their eyes, admit their mistake, and denounce Islam as the religion of murder.

I saw the same article. I think this is a result of people not knowing what they believe. People who have a firm foundation in the word of God. ( the Bible) aren't taken in but many will be deceived and I think it is because the Christian church has become PC and these people who are being taken in by the religion of our enemies never had a very firm foundation in Christianity.
We are now at a place where it is very politically incorrect to even suggest there is only one way to God although as Christians we know Jesus said, "I AM THE WAY." We are all supposed to be tolerant of others belief that if you're a 'good person' you will make it. It's a lie and goes against everything Jesus taught.
