Exactly, and it didn't become one overnight. Prudent policing would have resulted in these get-togethers being dispersed some months ago, or whatever, instead of waiting for hundreds of teens to have made it their regular hang-out.

Mass arrests of primarily innocent people can do nothing to build respect for the authorities, but I guess no-one gives a sh*t about respect anymore; it's all about authority.
