I like how California (#38) is described as "Third World" yet Tennessee (#6), Kentucky (#8) and Mississippi (#9) are all in the top 10.

First, look at California's governer. That ought to tell you something about more than half the voting public (unless there was rampant fraud in their last election). Second, we have water and a majority of people in Tenn, KY, and Miss. are actually American citizens.

Just stay away from Los Angeles and San Francisco! Those two cities accounted for 80% of Al Gore's margin of victory over Bush! The rest of the state is nowhere near as skewed.
