President to Visit Oregon, Fire Site
08/19/2002
Associated Press
President Bush will visit areas devastated by the Squires fire in Ruch next Thursday during a visit to Oregon that also will include a fund-raising dinner for Republican Senator Gordon Smith, the White House announced Friday.
Bush, who is taking a "working vacation" at his ranch in Waco, Texas, also plans stops in California, according to a schedule released by the president's office.

The president will deliver a speech on the importance of thinning forests to curb future wildfires, and has invited governors from Western states to join him during the visit, said a congressional source, who spoke on condition he would not be further identified.
Smith and Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., will join Bush during his stop near Medford. Both lawmakers have been strong advocates of managing forests. Many environmentalists have challenged Republican calls for thinning forests as efforts to undermine restrictions on logging.
From Medford, Bush will travel to Portland for a round-table discussion with community leaders from around the state, and a $1,000 per person reception for Smith, the congressional source said.
Bush made another visit to Portland in early January that was seen as an effort to bolster the reelection bid of Smith, who faces a challenge from Democratic Secretary of State Bill Bradbury. The president has not planned any further visits to Oregon, said the source.
Smith has raised $5.1 million in campaign funds for the November election and has no debt, according to campaign finance reports released last week.
From Portland, Bush was to fly to Stockton, Calif., according to the White House schedule.

Bump the governors. Maybe these western states will get the same fire protection and forest thinning laws that Dimwit Daschle Dysfunction snuck into a bill for South Dakota

This will be an important visit and the first big step in taking back the control of our forests from the Watermelon Green Nazis who control and are burning them down as per their pro fire agendas.

We are getting some moisture from the Marine Layer this morning.
It figures since I ran the Blazer thru the car wash last night!
I don't understand why California hasn't been hit harder by the fire's yet this summer. Although before I came down from the High Desert we had some monstrous fires on the north slope of the San Bernandino mountains. Started up by Lake Arrowhead from a campfire and swept North all the way to the south side of Apple Valley and East to Lucerne Valley.
It covered thousands of acres and cleaned out the brush that had been there for a lot of years!
Creosote and other shrubs grow all 12 months of the year down here.

The coastal overhang each morning has helped to prevent the fires.
When we have the North winds up here and you have the South winds down there that can cause off shore winds/breezes. So, the ocean air can't come in to keep our trees and brush more fire resistant with the added moisture each night and morning that comes with the ocean clouds/overhang.
We could have one of those dry wind events later this week in N. Kali.. That dries out the brush, grass, weeds and trees. If there is lightening or arson a fire behaves like tinder in a fireplace. Then the wind expands and spreads it.
The last two N. Kali wind/fire warnings did not have a lot of fires. Also, the wind did not get up to the warnings.

John, could we have the help of your big pinger on this important upcoming visit of President Bush to the Medford, Oregon area.
As per your story of the World News Daily people being forced from their headquarters, that fire is still burning in SW Oregon and could now endanger thousands of Oregonians on the coastal side of the fire.
Oregon is a disaster re the fire agenda of the Watermelon Green Jihadists.
President Bush will be making a very critical visit to Medford, Oregon in SW Oregon.
This will be an important visit, an important discussion of the problems caused by the Green Enviralist. This is the first big step in taking back the control of our forests from the Watermelon Green Nazis who control our forests and are burning them down as per their pro fire agendas.
We would appreciate your ping on this important visit to Oregon by President Bush. President Bush will visit California to support Bill Simon after his Oregon stops.
Thanks, John!

Thanks for your reply and the posting of this famous picute take during a Green Jihadist Burn a couple of years ago. For people who want to hug trees, animals and elk like those standing in the stream in terror, the Green Jehadists have a funny way of showing their love. Actually they just hate America and use their Watermelon agendas to weaken America to facilitate Rural Cleansing; Mo1, thanks for posting this really sad picture:
To: BOBTHENAILER
Thanks Bob. If we can't start taking back the control of our forests from the Watermelon Green Jehadists, it is over for our forests, our wilderness areas, our critters in the forests, the fish in the rivers and streams and of course the Americans living around and in these areas.

I think it is time that the native Oregonians take this matter into their own hands,
and preserve the right of the timber industry which is the primary purpose God made SW Oregon for anyway,
and also the right of rural residents to live and do a little gardening and farming out in the great outdoors and not be smushed up in a city like the enviro wackos want.

That is really an incredible picture. What we really need to do is circulate stuff like thisbetween the greens and the PETAites and get them all fighting amongst themselves. Play some of the same tactics as the Rats....divide and conquer.
