Does anyone know where the DNC is on this? As this is one of their largest voting blocks seems they would be out in front of this. Is this what Al was talking about when he said he would fight for us?

The DNC doesn't want to take a public position knowing that it will fracture their base. If you remember the 2000 Primary Debate in Harlem, this was a major issue. Bradley supported reparations and Al said there was a lot of good arguments in favor of reparations but he needed to think about it (which was code for either a, vote for me and I'll get done when I'm in office but I can't support it now, or b, vote for me and I'll dump you after I'm elected.)

The DNC is scared Sh%$%^less of this issue, they are now in the process of trying to reach out to whites(after all they really do not want another repeat of the 2000 Presidential elections)Reparations will cause a revolt not only by white union blue collars, but also Hispanics,Asians and others will be turned off by paying reparations. The one thing going for the 'Rats, is that the GOP, may not have the big brass ones to use the issue(the fear of being Willie Hortonized) even though it is a winning issue.

I believe most race-hustlers know that there will be no payments for slavery, but to them it is a good issue to show their followers that this is proof of THE MAN is keeping them down, and it keeps the "oppressed peoples" from paying attention to the race hustlers' failures to bring prosperity in the inner city. One man's opinon, I hope it's good.

Are you kidding? This is the LAST thing these sniveling cowards would take a position on! As I mentioned previously, no one, specifically Terry McAuliffe and crew, have no intention of taking any such action on reparations. Heck, they're not even THAT dumb! You'd have Republican administrations back to back, starting with Dubya's landslide re-election victory in '04. ...HEY, BRING ON THOSE REPARATIONS, PLEEZE!!!!

We all know where the DNC stands on this one , but not one of the cowardly elected democRAT weasels will openly admit it. If any reporter had a set of onions, he'd ask every RAT running where exactly he stands on this issue. Think about it, the liberal will be in a real bind, either he alienates his main supporters (blacks) or everyone else. The republicans should exploit this one for all its worth. Of course we'll never see it happen.
