They (the gov't) know something and they're trying to set up the mechanism to protect us without making it obvious that they know and avoid scaring the heck out of the population.

Pay attention, folks. Despite the best efforts of the U.S. Military, I'm not convinced Saddam will go down quietly. Horrifically, he may take a significant percentage of the population of Bagdhad down with him.

What "they" know is that they must prepare for as many possible scenarios as possible. It doesn't mean that a nuke strike is likely, but rather possible.

I wouldn't get too worked up about this report. Most diligent people already have a plan for what they would do in a variety of incidents, its just prudent. Glad to see govt's doing the same, just in case.

Really, if it has to be the Iraqi population that is decimated, that would be the lesser of two evils.

Do the Brit.'s and US Govt'.s think that there will not be some horrible retaliation if we strike first.

Is attacking Irag, or any other country, that has not made a specific theat against us, worth the price we would pay. Think about it.
