Meanwhile, parts of the Prairies and the midwestern United States are facing their worst drought in 133 years, posing a serious threat to the agricultural economy.

Yep, all thanks to those SUVs.

ESPN (New York, NY) - Climate change as a result of global warming is responsible for the increased homerun totals in major league baseball.

They talk about the drought in the midwest...those nasty SUVs were responsible for that in the thirties too I suppose?

What a silly thing to say. We always have severe weather worldwide and have since the earth was formed.

If SUVs could really cause that, then I'd say it's every American's DUTY to buy one.

I seem to remember a sweltering vacation we took to central Canada one summer 25+ years ago. Hardly anyone but us had a SUV (called a Surburban) back then. Are we responsible for that heat all by our selves?

All of this is happening because President Bush did not sign the Kyota agreement?

Well all the more reason to get SUVs, especially 4-wheel drives, so we can navigate all these washed out roads and slam through all those snowdrifts.

So, if SUV's are causing the drought in the plains and floods in Europe, what caused the pre-SUV Dust Bowl in the 1930's?

These same people can't tell you what the temperature and wind will be 36 hours from now with any accuracy. How are they supposed to predict all this is being caused by SUV's? Pure junk "science".

It's real easy to sit back and blame every evil thing that happens on this boogey man called global warming. The loons make snake oils salesmen look honest.
