Hundreds of Palestinians took to the streets in Gaza yesterday to participate in a Fatah-led demonstration in support of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The demonstrators chanted anti-US and anti-Israel slogans such as "Lets kill ever American" and "the Christians and Jews must all be killed", they burned flags of both countries and fired shots in the air, while calling on Saddam to attack Tel Aviv The protests, which took place amid attempts by Israeli leaders to negotiate a "Gaza first" ceasefire, were an additional indication of the growing tension in the region spurred by reports that the US is determined to topple Saddam.
Marching through Rafah refugee camp, the demonstrators waved Palestinian flags as well as posters of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and Hussein.
"We are marching to Iraq, giving millions of martyrs on the way," they chanted.
Many of the marchers were teenagers and some were children. Some marched with bare chests, clutched automatic machine guns and had black paint smeared on their faces like combat soldiers. Raouf Barbakh, a member of Arafat's Fatah movement and an organizer of the rally, said Palestinians and Iraqis shared "the same present and the same future."
"America supports Israel with weapons to kill Palestinians and at the same time the United States bombs Iraqis," he said. "As Palestinians we reject America's plans to oust Saddam, the same as we reject its demands to oust Arafat," he added. A Palestinian group that handles the distribution of money to bereaved families says Saddam has sent at least $30 million in cash to support the families of Palestinian men killed in the current intifada.
The money has been distributed at ceremonies in Gaza and the West Bank. The families of Palestinians who carried out suicide attacks against Israeli targets receive about $25,000, while families of victims are given about $10,000.

Is there any doubt that the Palestinians are our enemy?
When will the liberal press wake up and figure out that these terrorists want to destroy every thing they hold dear.

If we're lucky, Saddam's SCUD warheads will be shotdown over the west bank. :>)

The Dinner Table - [5.51] O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
looks like they're following their teachings to the letter ...

We were attacked on our own soil with our own people and airplanes at the hands of these Islamist thugs. Did they forget about that?
Message to them: WE HAVEN'T......(soon to be demonstrated).

no but if Oprah has her way, in between donuts and Stedman (he's probably ancient history), she'll keep trying to make America believe it's a religion of peace ... ask any citizen of the dozen plus countries they are in control of where they kill or imprison Jews and Christians ...
most Americans are totally ignorant of history or current events, especially when it comes to Iraq, Iran, Somalia, the Sudan, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Togo, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Afghanistan, the PLO, Hamas, PFLP, Hizballah, Black September, Fatah, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, etc, etc, etc ...

"....the Christians and Jews must all be killed",
Whew, I sure am glad that the Christians and Jews have all the big stuff (Nukes, AC-130's, A-10's ad infinitum).
Otherwise, I might really be worried.

You know, this will sound really immature and pointless but I have long wanted to order one of those large Palestinian flags off eBay and then burn it in the street on video while my friends and I chant unintelligible nonsense. Then mail the video to CNN or al-Jazeera. It would make me feel better somehow. Probably the most therapeutic 10 bucks I'd ever spend.

Yeah you're probably right. Guess I'll have to wear my nifty Stars-n-Stripes keffiyah so I can hide my identity while I burn it, just like the rabble who burn Old Glory.

At the same time, the US is trying to reassure Israel about Iraq so they don't try a preemptive strike before Saddam hits them again with his new, Chinese improved scuds.
I think Israel ought to be part of the coalition. Saddam is, after all, exporting terrorism into THEIR country. They have a stake in his destruction.
To: winner45
With any luck, Saddam's Scuds will miss their mark and fall on 1) Arafat's compound, 2) the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, and 3) what's left of Hamas' bomb-belt factories.

I wonder if those improved Chinese Scuds are targeted using US techology sold to the Chinese by the Clinton Administration?
And since it appears no Arab nation is going to join us in going after Saddam, Israel should be allowed to join in the effort. Who's going to either argue with us, or do anything about it, if we say that we and Israel are determined to rid the Middle East of all murderous scum.
