Much as the pro-perversion moral-liberals used to rant about the sacred privacy of behind closed, hallowed doors, and therefore just legalize pornography and sexual deviancy. A generation later we see the terrible results of this non-judgmentalism of sexual immorality. Whether it's the need for a V-chip, or spam filters to keep out email porn, and now this act of copulation in the Cathedral. It has inundated our whole culture now. "You are obsessed about it," the moral-liberals would claim. But really, that is what we are supposed to be. You can't walk down the street anymore without it slapping you in the face every day, from the TV, the advertisers, the mass media, the schools and universities, even Disneyland! The libertarians like to mouth off about the "law of unintended consequences" but ignore the unintended consequences of the moral-liberalism which they champion and whose results we see in the shocking and dreadful news each and every day.

** The Government **

The government has a responsibility to enforce the laws. But it does much more than that. It sets a moral standard, based on the knowledge that some practices have evil consequences.

Doctors are aware how harmful sodomy is. The intestines were not designed for this purpose, and expensive operations have to be done to repair the damaged muscles and intestinal tissue. Diseases, also, are introduced through sodomy.

Practices which are harmful to the practitioners, as well as society, should not be encouraged. Such practices should be frowned upon, and not allowed. It would be cruel to allow people and society to suffer. We have no problem decrying the harmfulness of tobacco. But not sodomy, and other sexual perversions.

Why is this so?

The word "liberal" used to be religious term, denoting generosity of giving. Now, it's a secular term of licentiousness.

The vast majority of people are moral and decent. But in all the areas of power in this country, in the media, the advertisers, the entertainment industry, the government, the universities and schools, there are powerful groups of liberals who think if only people would fall into a "let live" attitude in morals, everything would be fine.

The whole liberal power-structure is geared to lowering morality, and they see it as a "crusade" to bring "freedom."

The bottomline, though, is greed. That is the driving-force behind their campaign against morality. Immorality generates money, and they're right behind, scooping it up.

I spend much time reading about the suffering of Christians all over the world. The suffering is on the increase.

I also believe that the forcing of Christians to "accept" being insulted and their institutions ridiculed, is also a form of persecution.

Granted, nobody died as a result nor were they physically assaulted. However, their FAITH was assaulted...and to a Christian, that is just as bad!!

Satan must be a liberal...liberals tolerate most of the horrid attacks on the FAITH of Christians of this world.

This event in the Church was NOT funny. IT WAS A FORM OF PERSECUTION.

Exactly. It was an organized assault on the innocence of children. In addition, it was an assault on the sensibilities and sensitivities of religious.

Here are the moral-liberal statements which I noticed in this thread.

southern rock (#283) "I just think people are so worked up over the sex in the cathedral "gag", "

What you "notice" with that impaired reasoning of yours is irrelevant. What is relevant is what was actually said, IN CONTEXT. So now, why don't you use your little back button, go back to my post which you so carelessly reprinted for your own entertainment, and just try to figure out WHAT THE HECK I WAS TALKING ABOUT!!!!

What you will notice, if you have a shred of honesty in you somewhere, is that I was defending the joke made in post #15, not the sex in church radio stunt.

stanz (#15) "I guess they're not used to heterosexual sex there

For you see, the above is not a moral-liberal statement, it is an ironic statement. Sadly ironic, as it was designed to point out the MORAL-LIBERALISM IN THE HEIRARCHY OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!!

They're lucky that they didn't try it in some of the more ethnic areas of NYC; the local menfolk would've kicked the snot out of the shock jock and loverboy.

You mean an ethnic area from where these two menfolk most likely come from:

As the usher called for police, two officers who were tuned in to Mercurio's "blow-by-blow description" on the radio

Gee -- how about this for "entertainment?? Listeners could gain "points" for giving the two punks Opie and Anthony a beating -- Knee caps could be 25 "points"; a busted lip 10 "points", etc.

Actually, I am more interested in this tidbit:

and sex on air with a cop or firefighters would earn 100 points.

Hmmm... Na! Could never happen. Everyone knows these guys are cut from the higest moral fibre.

And we all know that the anarcho-ideologues think they are cut from the lowest, as if they all live in trailer parks or something.

Not funny. Pathetic.

It amazes me that anyone would actually think this IS funny ---but that reveals how low intelligence has slipped downward. There are all kinds of humor ---slapstik, irony, satire but I can't see the humor in this at all. I'm sure there were some morons that were laughing their heads off over this though.

How about the moral fibre of these guys?:

two officers who were tuned in to Mercurio's "blow-by-blow description" on the radio

NY's Finest. Opie and Anthony's target audience? Apparantly so.

I must repent for longing for the days of my youth when such an abomination would have resulted in a near-fatal ass-beating for O and A's guests -- to be followed by the same for the two no-talent pukes who pollute the airwaves as demanded by "market forces" in our dying society.....

We need a constitutional amendment re-establishing public whipping, dunking stools and pillories. This will effectively handle this type of conduct. I am especially partial to the pillory when the perps ear is nailed to the stake and he stands there for five to six hours. Such punishment implicitly states: 'since you do not listen to our laws(statutory, common and customary)this nailing will help you hear better.'

"...Do you like Stephen Wright? .."

I love Stephen Wright!!

I can sense the solidarity vibes curling around my keyboard even as I type. I feel like bursting into a rousing rendition of:

I'd like to teach
the world
to sing
in perfect har-mon-ee
(perfect har-mon-ee)

Whelp, now that we've achieved this heightened level of human communication--are you ready to admit that the poet Radovan Karadjic is a Hero of the whole human race?

Here's an except from a must read

"A green hunting cap squeezed the top of the fleshy balloon of a head. The green earflaps, full of large ears and uncut hair and the fine bristles that grew in the ears themselves, stuck out on either side like turn signals indicating two directions at once. Full, pursed lips protruded beneath the bushy black moustache and, at their corners, sank into little folds filled with disapproval and potato chip crumbs."

If you both read this, or have read this, we're talkin' serious bonding.

...Don't get me wrong son. I ain't a bad guy, but you can only take so much. I spent ten years trying to make Paradise Vendors a reputable organization, but that ain't easy. People look down on hot-dog vendors. They think I operate a business for bums. I got trouble finding decent vendors. Then, when I find some nice guy, he goes out and gets himself mugged by hoodlums. How come God has to make it so tough for you?

"We must not question His ways," Ignatius said.

"Maybe not, but I still don't get it."

"The writings of Boethius may give you some insight."

"I read Father Keller and Billy Graham in the paper every single day."

Oh, my God!" Igantius spluttered. "No wonder you are so lost."

"Here," the old man said, opening a metal locker near the stove. "Put this on."

He took what looked like a white smock out of the locker and handed it to Ignatius.

"What is this?" Ignatius asked happily. "It looks like an academic gown."........
