I want to try to have several different ones. I like my original ones the best. Change is good though. I am ready for the weekend as well.
Enjoy!!!!!

We'll miss you. Hurry back.
To: LadyX
Oh - glad you came by - but so sorry you are not feeling well today! Prayers going your way - and hopes that you will be feeling better tomorrow.
To: Billie
Any wonder we love to read Luis' essays?! I am wondering if I am the last FReeper to discover this man's amazing talent? I have seen him 'around' on the threads, but never read any of his writing. When I have time, I will be going back to the Banana Republican's archives for more. :-)

Congrats on being picked as FR's Finest

Thank you, Mixer. That was also a surprise! But a nice one!
Mama_Bear - no, I don't think you are the last person on FR to know about Luis - because there are soooooooo many talents on FR! It's not as easy now to know everybody as it once was.
So glad you could be introduced to his writing! I am being introduced to him as Radio Free Republic host! (listening to his most recent broadcast in the archives he linked us to). I am not able to listen to Radio Free Republic often - so this is a treat and makes me want to listen more!
So we are all learning new things about Freepers!

Dear Diary:
Monday:
Now home from honeymoon and settled in
our new home. It's fun to cook for Dan.
Today I made angel food cake. The
recipe said, "Beat 12 eggs separately." The
neighbors were nice enough to loan me some extra bowls"
Tuesday:
Dan wanted fruit salad for dinner.
The recipe said, "Serve without dressing."
So I didn't dress.
What a surprise when Dan brought
a friend home for dinner.
Wednesday:
A good day for rice. Recipe said,
"Wash thoroughly
before steaming the rice."
It seemed kinda silly but I
took a bath. I can't say it improved the rice any.
Thursday:
Today Dan asked for salad again.
I tried a new recipe.
It said, "Prepare ingredients, then toss
on a bed of lettuce
one hour before serving."
Which is what led up to Dan asking me
why I was rolling around in the garden.
Friday:
I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said, "Put all
ingredients in bowl and beat it."
There must have been something
wrong with this recipe. When I got back,
everything was the same as when I left.
Saturday:
Dan did the shopping today and brought
home a chicken. He asked me to dress
it for Sunday. (oh boy)
For some reason Dan keeps counting to ten.
Sunday:
Dan's folks came to dinner.
I wanted to serve roast but
all I could find was hamburger.
Suddenly I had a flash of
genius. I put the hamburger in the
oven and set the controls for
roast. It still came out like hamburger,
much to my disappointment.
Goodnight, Dear Diary.
This has been a very exciting
week. I am eager for tomorrow to come
so I can try out a new
recipe on Dan. If we could just get a bigger oven,
I would like to
surprise him with "Chocolate Moose."

Hey Luis! I'm proud to be part of your special day. You and I go all the way back to Elian. We've met lots of Freepers who have come and gone, but you and I and a few others are still here.
You are a true patriot. Keep up the good work.

Hi ya all. How you doing? Mr. "T" is on his way from San Diego, right now as we speak. Lots of work in the military field.
So Billie, when will G'nad and I and the other Virgina Freepers, see you over here this way? We'd love to take to lunch or have you over for some home brew.
