Good talk, but I disagree that Conservatives should stop talking about liberal spew. In a sense, she's violating her own advice, because she is addressing an audience of Americans who are in the middle or making their minds up about ideas, and she is talking about liberals and liberal ideas (or what's left of them).
You can't allow yourself to fall into not wanting to talk up ideas, not wanting to debate the other people. You can't walk away from it, or people will get the impression that you don't think you can compete in a contest of ideas, if you only seek fora among the undecided or among fellow conservatives.
Recriminating is a favorite liberal technique, and they get it from Marxism. Soviet Communists used to demonize people as a form of "debate" for the illiterate: they demonized the Mensheviks, the Jewish Socialists, the anarchists, the mass-party Socialists, as Lenin kept dividing and dividing until he got the Communist Party cut down to just his own coterie and fellow-travelers he could dominate.
Stalin did the same thing to "gold bugs", "wreckers", "capitalist roaders", and all the rest of the long litany of groups Solzhenitsyn told us about in The Gulag Archipelago.
That is why Marxist-educated liberals try to do it to us. The one thing we cannot afford is to quit the forum and to resign the fight. We need to send Ann to call on Pacifica and challenge them to debate something on "their" radio show, instead of letting them throw dead cats every day and sneer that Rush isn't "fair" because he doesn't "balance" his show by having Marxists come on and call him names.
In a straight debate before an American audience, I'm willing to bet that Marxist diatribe will fail.
So far from ceasing to talk to them, we need to do what Ann does -- right up in their faces, right in front of everyone. And whip their little asses.
