Leopards never change their spots. Once a turd, always a turd.

Ouch! That kind of article is not helpful to an already staggering candidate. Thanks for the flag.

My pleasure. Thought you'd get a kick out of it. Every little bit of press like this helps. ;^)

BTW, the 13 point Forrester lead really surprised me. You called it (not by the numbers) on the ethics "reprimand". (Said the Senate Committee: "and don't do it again, Bob, er, Senator, or next time we'll issue a five page reprimand with really strong language. Now, how about lunch") I think too his commercial backfired. Musta been the $1,500 suit while saying sorry for grifting a $5,000 Rolex--doesn't play well for the working moms and dads who see their paychecks hit hard by taxes. In any event, the commercial sure was Rat money well spent, IMHO....

Not only is it $2 million less that Torch can't use to savage Forrester, but the improved poll numbers are giving Forrester a big fundraising boost. And they encouraged the RNC to pump millions (supposedly) into this race, and of course President Bush hasn't even paid a visit yet.

That was an approximate amount that I read in one of this week's articles. It really stood out for me since it was almost one/third of his impressive warchest. He had just over $6 mil, while Forrester had (I believe) less than $200K. You can bet that latter number has changed over the past few weeks!

Freshman week for me was Sept 61. We learned the songs wore the beanies and as an original Heightsman, suffered the long bus rides to our dorms. I'll never forget waiting for a bus to go back to the Heights. The news stands were full so I grabbed a Targum and read the headline that went something like, "Boocock Arrested in Bordello Raid". By the time we reached our dorm the whole issue had been devoured and we were all very confused about the decline and fall of "Rutgers on the Banks." Our preceptors listened in mock seriousness and then pointed at the mast head. We were confused at first until it was explained what a Mugrat was.

I found that out the other day when I spent an afternoon in the Rutgers library looking through old editions of the Targum, the daily newspaper of that great university on the banks of the mighty Raritan.

As you may know, the Torch got his start in politics at Rutgers.

If it wasn’t for the RU Chemistry major that took part in the first WTC bombing, Torch would be our most embarrassing alum.

At least we can claim Milton Friedman and Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini).
