Most blacks in this country have some white ancestry and that white blood is much more likely to be traced to a son of the Confederacy than say, a white Northeasterner descended late 19th Century immigrants.

So, the question is how much do blacks owe themselves?

Imagine the housing boom. All those "less advantaged" given the cash to move on out of the squaller they call the hood. And in a decade, after the repossessions, bankruptcies, and mortgage defaults they would be right back where they are now. Pissed off at Whitie.

I thought you were going to say they would have turned the new 'hood into a ghetto because that's what would happen.

The first to try to take away any money the masses might get, would be the likes of Jesse Jackson, Sharpston, etc. I think the "black leaders" are pushing this reparations mess because the masses are no longer able to finance them and they need more money to fund their lifestyles on handouts. They do nothing to earn a living, depend on handouts, and there are getting to be too many of them for the peons to support.

Nobody is more abusive to one black person than another black person. They charge blacks without cars for a four-block ride.

I wonder, just what has the word racist become other than a denigrating epithet? My dictionary says that a racist is someone who believes their own race to be superior to another race. Note that this definition represents a comparison of races and does not represent details of racial characteristics. If you believe your race is superior to another race then, by this definition, you are a racist. On the other hand, if you believe that one race is superior in certain characteristics to another race then you are comparing characteristics not races. Perhaps we need a new word such as, racial-characteristicist or ethno-characteristicist, to describe someone who makes this type of comparison. Let's leave the word racist as it is: a denigrating epithet used to defame one's enemies(1).

I should get reparations, too. One of my ancestors was a Scottish prisoner-of-war sent to York, Maine by Oliver Cromwell. Then, as if fighting the Roundheads wasn't enough, he had to fight Indian allies of the French, whose favorite tactic was to force-march any survivors of their raids to Quebec, where they would be either held for ransom or sold as servants to the French.

On second thought, maybe Cromwell did me a favor!

I am so sick and tired of reparations. This is such a load of B.S. that I never want to hear of it again. The problem with ignoring it, however, is that these imbeciles are honestly trying their hardest to get a reparations bill passed!

So, because of these people, I have to waste my time fighting to stop a reparations bill from ever being passed. It makes me madder and madder each time.

Fortunately, I am not alone in this fight. Thank you, Freepers, and let us continue our crusade against reparations.

Not quite true, considering that the population and thus the demand for land has greatly increased while the amount of land (supply) has remained exactly the same. A very basic economics principle states that [all else being equal] price is proportional to demand and inversely proportional to supply. However I will grant that there's probably considerably less demand for mules.

There is a good case to be made for reparations to whites and asians, not based on what happened to their ancestors but based on discrimination against them funded and encouraged by the Federal Government. For example, so-called "affirmative action" programs have been used to favor blacks and hispanics in university admissions, etc.

Unlike discrimination against blacks, discrimination against whites and asians has been recent and damaging to persons now alive.

There is urgent need of a Federal program to compensate whites and asians for this outrage.

Let me see, according to some historians Slavs were in Europe dating back to pre-Roman times. The word slave comes from Slav. Sclavi or Scciavi in Latin. Now I fugure that adjusted for inflation as a Slav I am owed approximately one Trillion dollars.

Plus a substantial cut from people of African descent. The way I figure it Africa was known to the Western Europeans but African slaves were not used until the 15th century (slavs were prefered as slaves). Slavs should be compensated that for 15 centuries blacks were not enslaved because arabs prefered slav slaves.

Oh yes, I want my check from those heathen Muslims for causing all the misery since the advent of Islam. Ahh, and the Italians, inheritors of Roman assets. I want a check from them too. Oh and the Vikings who sold slav slaves to the Turks, they owe me a check too.

Better hurry guys, I am already 50 and I have lots of ideas on how to spend the money and enjoy the rest of my life.
