OK - let's be intelligent about this - he was probably intending to be modest - telling the attendees that we, as Americans, are modest and have much to learn - think about it - what is the opposite - we are smarter than you - how modest is that? People take things way WAY too literally.

I wonder if Toricelli is still trying to suck the sand out of his Benz. What a ho'!

Torch was one of the big DemocRATic supporters of the Gulf War in Congress. These Moslems were probably mighty pleased once they bought him off. I wonder if any of their contributions can be found on publicly available databases.

I wouldn't vote for the guy for many other reasons, but in all fairness, that comment seems to be taken completely out of context.

What a creep!

Makes no difference. Torricelli will be re-elected. Why? Because NJ Republicans are DUMB. Remember what I predicted about Bret Shundler came to pass. He lost because he was too "good" to call up Howard Stern for a few minutes. Howard's endorsement would have given a few hundred thousand extra votes to Shundler and today he would have been governor of NJ. Forrester will make the SAME mistake. He will think he can win without Howard. He will be WRONG. And like Shundler, come November we can also call him a LOSER.
When will they EVER learn?

Saw the actually film on on this guy on O'Reilly.
Very, very damaging.
Gee, I wonder why no other networks are running this?
Another sad example of left-wing media bias.
Thank God for FoxNews.

""America has little to teach and much to learn." I assume the Torch was talking about the legendary abilities of arabs to extort graft?
To: rickmichaels
Forrester better seize on this.

"Sen. Torricelli to Muslim Extremists: 'America Has Little to Teach and Much to Learn'"
Damn Right! Sen. Torricelli statement is 100% TRUE!!!
Who among us has the Knowledge and Skills necessary to crash a loaded passenger jet into the Twin Towers? Who among us knows how to strap on an explosive pack - seek out innocent life, then blow it all to Kingdom Come??? Can we mere Americans begin to know how to set-up a TV Broadcast of slitting a persons throat? The list can go on, and on.
We should ALL thank the good Senator for his keen insights and observations.
This so called Religion of Peace has a REAL PANT LOAD to teach us Americans.

Comments? Would you still vote for him?

"Even if that's true, how can a U.S. senator, even a left-wing Democrat, make such a hateful, arrogant, pandering statement about his own country?" Jimmy Carter (out of office) once said America was "racist."

"The O'Reilly Factor" dropped this bombshell Monday night on Fox News Channel.I heard it mentioned on Hannity's radio show today around 2pm EST. Hannity said the Torch's camp insisted it was, "old news - please drop it." Uh, oh...

Is this on tape? Good Forrester campaign commercial if so.
