OK here's the deal, you pray for me on Saturday and I'll get you on Sunday! ;-)

wish I could go three rounds in a celebrity format with Torch....well one can hope right? You're speaking of 'celebrity boxing', I presume? I couldn't agree more, and Torch would be on my list as well....along with Slick, Daschle (although that wouldn't exactly be fair), Kennedy, Schumer, Nadler, Hillary, J. Reno, and many others (although this particular list is strictly limited my to American males in politics).

Comments? Would you still vote for him?

"Even if that's true, how can a U.S. senator, even a left-wing Democrat, make such a hateful, arrogant, pandering statement about his own country?" Jimmy Carter (out of office) once said America was "racist."

Most likely Toricelli's congressional district had a lot of arab folks.
To: rickmichaels
"The O'Reilly Factor" dropped this bombshell Monday night on Fox News Channel.I heard it mentioned on Hannity's radio show today around 2pm EST. Hannity said the Torch's camp insisted it was, "old news - please drop it." Uh, oh...

Is this on tape? Good Forrester campaign commercial if so.

Torricelli likened the attack to an ethnic smear.
Well, that's interesting. The liberals now consider it an "ethnic smear" to point out when they've been caught moralizing with Hamas.
I stand by my earlier statement. Torricelli is a leftist pig.
To: Tuco-bad
Even I wouldn't vote for the Torch. Bravo! Spoken as a true gentleman.

What we need is to get together a bunch of conservative rich guys and have them buy up all the shares in the ASSociated Press corp. When they get 51% they fire the whole lot of the editorial management and put some real, objective newspapermen in there.
To: Zathras
"This won't make it to AP."But the Republican challenger to his N.J. Senate seat could make sure it does.
To: Reactionary
Torricelli is evidently another Leftist pig who thinks that America doesn't have anything to offer but has plenty to "learn" from glorious Islam, from North Korea, from Cuba, from the paradise that is now Africa.True.

If you want to be modest, say that we have much to learn. Saying that we have little to teach is just being disrespectful.
I think that Torricelli really believes that America has little to teach. The statement is not what is offensive. It is his belief that there is nothing special about the United States of America that is offensive. The USA is the greatest nation in the history of man-kind, IM(NS)HO.
