The campaign must begin for the:

Ronald Reagan One Dollar Coin

The P.C. one dollar coins foisted upon us have both failed. A Reagan dollar would be instantly popular.

The Democrats did not waste anytime putting their icon FDR on the dime. The Reagan dollar should be put up for a vote in Congress as soon as Ronald Reagan dies.

Not to pee in your corn flakes, but dollar coins have a pretty bad track record.

How about the $50 bill replacing Grant? Might be easier because no one wants $1 coins anyway

The dollar coin continues to meet with resistance due to continued printing of the paper dollar. Discontinue the paper, the coin will be used.

The Susan B. dollar was an absolute disaster and deserves to be eradicated from our nation's collective memory. But despite the PC overtones, I kinda like the Sacagawea dollar: it's tastefully attractive and convenient to use. (Susan B. was an ugly hag.)

Eliminate the paper dollar and the penney.
Keep Sacagawea and put Ronnie on a new $5 coin.
(He's certainly worth more than a buck.)

Why wait until he dies? They didn't for the carrier.

Go for a gold dollar coin. If they can't push it through, "compromise" with a $5 coin. And watch how embarrased the libs get when the $5s get circulated more than the $1s.

Another possibility is the 50c piece. Do they even make the Kennedy ones anymore?

I've got a better Idea, lets replace worn out old FDR with Ronald Reagan, the new Reagan Dime. Lets put him on a coin someone will actually use, not that joke of a $1.00 coin no one wants or uses. Don't forget the rush to replace Franklin on the Half Dollar with JFK after he got a convertable head. Actually, its nice to see old JFK on a coin more useless than the $1.00 coin. At least most casinos use the $1.00 coin by the carload, not so for the poor old Kennedy half.

I must give my dissent.

The dollar coin is too far low an honor for such a great President. Hence, my suggestion is the $10 dollar bill. Hamilton, while being a Founder, was never President.

President Ronald Reagan should replace Alexander Hamilton on our $10.

Period.
