Not to pee in your corn flakes, but dollar coins have a pretty bad track record. You have a point but consider who was on them. Susan B. Anthony. Sacagawea. If Ronald Reagan was on a dollar coin, I would go out of my way to use them and so would many others. In fact, I would get them by the roll and make a point to use them whenever I frequent a shop where liberals tend to hang out - like Starbucks or Tower Records.

I agree, sam. I'd purposely cash in my Washington $1 bills for a Reagan Dollar coin. And I use them profusely.
