The greatest gift I gave my dad before he died was a USS Ronald Regan cap.
It now sits on top of his ern, where he would have wanted it.

The campaign must begin for the:
Ronald Reagan One Dollar Coin
The P.C. one dollar coins foisted upon us have both failed. A Reagan dollar would be instantly popular.

The dollar coin continues to meet with resistance due to continued printing of the paper dollar. Discontinue the paper, the coin will be used.

The Susan B. dollar was an absolute disaster and deserves to be eradicated from our nation's collective memory. But despite the PC overtones, I kinda like the Sacagawea dollar: it's tastefully attractive and convenient to use. (Susan B. was an ugly hag.)

Eliminate the paper dollar and the penney.
Keep Sacagawea and put Ronnie on a new $5 coin.
(He's certainly worth more than a buck.)

May God open up His arms to receive Ronald Reagan and lead him to a place reserved for heros. "And He will raise you up, on eagle's wings...and hold you in the palm of His hand."

The Democrats did not waste anytime putting their icon FDR on the dime. The Reagan dollar should be put up for a vote in Congress as soon as Ronald Reagan dies.
Why wait until he dies? They didn't for the carrier.

Go for a gold dollar coin. If they can't push it through, "compromise" with a $5 coin. And watch how embarrased the libs get when the $5s get circulated more than the $1s.

Another possibility is the 50c piece. Do they even make the Kennedy ones anymore?

The "suprising" success of the Reagan Dollar will demonstrate just what philosophy is dominant among real people in the U.S.

LOL. I am laughing because that is exactly how the liberals would react to it. You all might have a point. He could make it a success.

It was the video for Land of Confusion (1986). The puppets were created by puppet makers Fluck and Law, the team behind cult Brit satire TV show Spitting Image.

I watch with some satisfaction as President Reagan's status grows with time, while Clinton's diminishes. It's nice to see things unfold as they should. I regret that I was too young to appreciate Reagan while he was President (he was elected when I was but eight years old).

When he dies, I hope the country gives him an elegant, tasteful service reflecting the dignity and greatness of the man. And I hope they find some way to NOT invite x42 or his hag...er...wife. Or at least, give them lousy seats. Having either Clinton present is like inviting OJ Simpson to a symposium on violence against women.

I was fortunate to have had the privilege of voting for president Reagan twice.

In different elections, I assume.

I lived in Sacramento when he was Governer of the state. One day, while riding my bike to the University near his home, he came out of his house and waved and smiled at me. I will never forget that smile. It was the most honest genuine smile I have ever seen. When I graduated he was still Governer and his signature is on my diploma. I am sure it was signed by a machine, but it is still neat to have.

I sure hope he dies when Bush is in office instead of a Clinton.

No Clinton will ever be anything other than a visitor in the Oval Office. Hitlery is way to unpopular to be elected, and Chelsea? Gimme a break.

I agree, sam. I'd purposely cash in my Washington $1 bills for a Reagan Dollar coin. And I use them profusely.

I kinda like the Sacagawea dollar

The liberals liked the idea of an ethnic single mom on our coins. Sacagawea has failed just like Susan B.

Just like Reagan, the Reagan Dollar Coin will succeed where the liberal ideas had failed.

I would go out of my way to use them and so would many others. In fact, I would get them by the roll and make a point to use them whenever I frequent a shop where liberals tend to hang out - like Starbucks or Tower Records.

I like the way you think.

We are all body, soul and spirit. The spirit always knows what's going on. That's why you speak to people in a coma, etc. They do know.

I've got a better Idea, lets replace worn out old FDR with Ronald Reagan, the new Reagan Dime. Lets put him on a coin someone will actually use, not that joke of a $1.00 coin no one wants or uses. Don't forget the rush to replace Franklin on the Half Dollar with JFK after he got a convertable head. Actually, its nice to see old JFK on a coin more useless than the $1.00 coin. At least most casinos use the $1.00 coin by the carload, not so for the poor old Kennedy half.

just read your post and I agree totally. I totally believe Reagan has no idea of his illness at this time. To know he has suffered since 93 or so hurts me. He knew going in he was only going to get worse..his letter was so similar to Hestons letter last week.

Ronald Reagan is perhaps one of the 10 top men in the last 100 years. Frankly I consider him in the top 3 but that is me. The life he lived is just an incredible story. When we think of life and living well and above what our calling was, I think Reagan, now 91 years old.

Darn, my mom died at age 44 and my dad in law died at age 66!

How blessed his family is to have him still here and how blessed we as a country are to have had him as our leader.
