I never said that autistic children are stupid. If you read ALL of my posts, you will find that I firmly believe that children who are simply stupid (Oh! How dare I say that? How politically incorrect of me!) are being diagnosed with 'learning disabilities' just so that schools can get more money. Just as college should be reserved for those with the intelluctal capacity to take advantage of it, so should our tax dollars be spent on those who are MOST likely to benefit from them, not least.

Public schools have become a place where, in order to not offend the sensitive liberals, 'no child is left behind', never mind that no child gets ahead. Should the taxpayers be required to provide at least 13 years of education for people who cease to learn anything new after the 5th grade?

Your high school diploma means essentially nothing because the functional illiterate who stayed in high school to keep his driver's license gets the exact same piece of paper declaring that they know precisely the same as the valedictorian.
