No, I had correspondence with this lady and she was legitimate. For this reason I am sad to hear that this happened. I really believe that something went wrong and mistakes were made and well intentioned plans crashed and burned.

It would be far easier for me if she was a con artist, I would say she deserved what she got, but it makes me sad to know that people can turn on one another like this.

I like to browse through some of the older posts every now and zen. Yall oldies often have links to them on your "me" pages and I just can't resist looking through them. The little hint about how to just point your browser over the posters name and a number at the end shows their sign in number gives a good reference to their age. I forgot who on this page pointed that out on this thread, but it is a neat little trick. Without clicking your page, I can tell you are also an "oldie".

One thing I've recognized from day 1 is that this is your site and not mine. That's part of what believing in free enterprise means. I can appreciate something that is owned by someone else.

The problem comes if someone were to begin to get "attached" to the site as if it were ITSELF a form of democracy, rather than a site owned by someone else that supports a conservative, democratic republic. These folks would come to believe that they, for some odd reason, SHOULD have a say and an equal vote in how things are decided at FR.

That's as illogical as thinking I SHOULD get to help decide the recipes used at my favorite restaurant. I don't. That's a decision for the owner.

Oh rub it in! Sheesh, I wish I could go. Had family vacation planned six months ago, and had to cancel that to work since we purchased another company and yours truly has to identify all the systems to be integrated and costs. DOH! I need a new job.....

Just about anything I say at this point sounds self-serving, so I'll simply say thank you and defer to USConservative and Torie for their class. I'd like to take credit for the appology, but although I have expressed my sorrow at making the mistakes I did, I cannot take them back. The class is USConservative and Torie's to share.
