Am so glad you are here and you and TigersEye are together! Match made in Freeper heaven!
All your comments are very welcome and uplifting.
Aren't we sad today, though, about Charlton Heston?
He said - He could part the Red Sea - but he cannot part with us (his fants, friends, supporters).
Isn't that something? That man is one of my heroes! How America needs him still now!
To: All; .30Carbine
Oh, my - bad proofreading again - his "FANS" not his "FANTS"....sheesh!!!!

Thank you, Freedom'sWorthIt. Nice to type at you again! It is very sad about Charlton Heston. I know that he will shine like a star, though, in this dark time, just like Mr. Reagan and his trooper wife Nancy, and just like Muhamed Ali - last night Tiger and I watched a video on his life (Ali: As the World knew him, I think, was the title). I didn't know that he lit the Olympic torch for the Atlanta games, despite his Parkinson's. Rush Limbaugh is another shining example of an overcomer.

Maybe some of our talented graphic artists can find and circle exactly where the San Joaquin Valley is on the Bush Country map? I'm not much of a graphic artist, but I think I got fairly close to where the valley is. The San Joaquin Valley may extend a little further north than I have it. It extends from Sacramento to just south of Bakersfield, surrounded on three sides by mountains.
As you can see, like the rest of the country, most of California is Bush country, unfortunately not the most populous parts.

THAT helps bigtime! Thank you!
Isn't that whole map amazing - AND the map of California!
Most of America is sane. Something happens when people congregate in big cities ----- insanity sets in like a bad virus. Maybe it is from living that close to each other....I dunno.
But thank GOD for you "Valley" Cali's!

So sad about Heston. I know first hand how horrific this disease is, as my Mother was recently diagnosed with it. I have learned a lot about it reading the information put out by the Reagan family who are doing a great service for families faced with this.
To: .30Carbine
I would like that very much. Thank you! You've been added. :-)
So, you and your husband found each other on FreeRepublic?! That is so wonderful!!!
To: .30Carbine
Yes, Rush is a hero, for sure. Ali - bless his heart! Yes, I saw him with the torch at the Atlanta Games. And now his daughter, is it?, is a boxer also? (or am I dreaming here).
But President Reagan and Nancy - how great the love!
And for Charlton Heston - how great the love we hold for him!
We must let him know!
Alzheimers is terrible but I see a lady with Alzheimers almost weekly who is the dearest, sweetest person imaginable with a devoted husband taking care of her every need (she is in a faciiity, but he is there doing all he can for her every day). This lady ALWAYS has a smile on her face.
Those who care for people with Alzheimers are saints in this life and will receive God's blessings in their own lives. And those with the illness - well - God is already right there with them guiding them and caring for them and making ready their homes on high.

Okay, hold that ring a little closer to the screen won't you? I can't see it from here! :) ( must confess, I thought you were a man too! LOL)
To: Billie
Thanks, Billie! Have a fantastic evening! See you tomorrow,
Lord willing!
To: lodwick
Sheesh! I should have just gone to Google. I keep forgetting that
everything is there. It would have been so much easier, and more accurate. LOL!
I can see that I went a little bit too far south and not quite far enough north.
To: lodwick
Thanks so much, we need all the prayers we can get. My Mom is in denial, and doesn't believe she has the problem, and that I am making it up and making her think she is crazy. It is just a terrible thing, and I am mostly at a loss about how to handle it.
Don't mean to bring the thread down, but seeing this about a great American Hero and Patriot like Heston just brings it all to the front.

Hey Goodie ........ Get over here and tell us about the Ray Appleton show today!! We need you.

D'you think Louie or Meek will notice? How could they NOT notice?! Guys! Didja see Pip's new upswept hairdo this morning?! VERY glamourous! (she pinned the braids up for a change) :)
Well, I looked on the thread earlier and couldn't find the posts, so I didn't see. Which post #?
To: ladyinred
I'm sorry about your mom, ladyinred. Have you read
I Love You, Ronnie? Extremely touching. Definitely a girl book! Nancy comments within the text of the letters Mr. Reagan wrote to her, and the book is capped with his letter "My Fellow Americans," about his Alzheimer's battle. I had a girlfriend whose dad was taken by this fearful disease. The Lord's patience with this earth is very long, but He is not slow in keeping His promises.
