I am not using physical criteria, the people, etc. as the basis for my using California. I am using overall socio-political aspects. As I have said, over and over, I know that California is a beautiful state. In fact, I know that ALL of the states of this country are beautiful. Now, if you want to discuss any state that has produced a single politician for nomination as armpit, it would have to be a tie between Arkansas for Clinton and Mass. for Kennedy. Georgia would be next for Carter. Sorry to have to say that, but I would say it if it was my own state.

How many of you morons that voted for California realize that it's the home of FreeRepublic?

Ah, I know it isn't the physical attributes, just get a little sensitive about all of the California bashing on here all of the time. People have the wrong perception of this state, and although I understand why, it still bugs me because we are not nearly as liberal as one would suppose with the exception of the SF and LA areas. There is a huge population here who are not liberals!
I don't really think any state should be called the armpit seriously. We just all have some lousy politicans from time to time! :)
