Answers to my Evolutionist Friends
Proofs of Evolution Examined
by Thomas F. Heinze
The theory of evolution gave credibility to atheism because it seemed to provide a scientific foundation which atheism had lacked. Before the theory most people believed that God had created. Many really wanted to believe that there was no God, but it was difficult to be a convinced atheist with no logical explanation at all for matter and life. Where did they come from? Evolution was embraced by many because it provided an explanation: a bridge they could cross over into what seemed to be a fuller understanding of the life that surrounded them without having to involve a Creator. The bridge of evolution was erected on a number of seemingly sturdy pillars of scientific knowledge, each one of which inspired faith in the whole theory.
In the intervening years, a lot of water has washed over these pillars and swept them all away! The shaky old bridge still stands as a religious or philosophical belief system to be clung to by faith, but the seemingly compelling "scientific proofs" which once gave the theory of evolution its credibility have been proven false by subsequent discoveries. This has not been the tragedy to the theory of evolution that one might think. The reason?
-- During the time when it really seemed scientific, the theory attained the status of the sacred religious/scientific tradition taught almost exclusively in the world's schools.
-- The pillars were not all swept away at the same time, so new ideas replaced the old. In this way there was always something an evolutionist could believe in.
As we look back now, though, we see that virtually every evidence which brought people to believe in evolution was based on false facts. As you will see, many of the facts which have long been known to be false are still found in many of today's school books.
The pillars
What are the false ideas that herded people into the evolutionist fold, the pillars that upheld the theory which were swept away by later scientific discoveries?
-- Each evolutionary step moves ahead from a previous step. Go back far enough, and you run out of previous steps.
-- Spontaneous generation: Given the right environment, life just comes about from chemicals.
-- A cell so simple it could happen by chance.
-- The inheritance of acquired traits.
-- Normal variations between individuals chosen by natural selection were the principle mechanism of evolution.
-- Missing links exist. They will soon be found.
-- Evolution happens today. The peppered moths were dark colored and changed to light.
-- The many vestigial organs proved evolution to be true.
-- Comparative anatomy is evidence for evolution.
-- Embryology: The embryo in the womb retraces the stages of its previous evolution.
-- Uniformitarian Geology: Erosion, and sedimentation have always taken place at more or less the same rate as is average today. It was believed that great floods and other events that would deposit many layers of sediment in a short time had not happened.

Usually it is anywhere from 10 to 300 times more cost effective to bomb the body than live with bacterial death. Uh....... okay.

What you see here is an excerpt from a fairly long webpage. Truly pathetic stuff. If the web site is more of the same, there's no need to read it.

Unfortunately, the professor who I heard this from has passed on, thus I can't source it. However, 3M has a timeline which lists the
introduction dates of major innovations, including PostIt-Notes (1980):

I find the cures through evolution and it works 100% of the time in predicting stealth infection where the medical profession has totally blundered. I got a pill and you got a God. My pill will beat your prayer to God 99.999% of the time.
You see with the technology we have now we can cure many diseases that have been overlooked. Surely the great majority of arthritis, autoimmune disorders, heart problems are within reach now as infection problems never seen before. To find them you must know evolution. To get treatment you must look at the evidence and understand how we predict disease through evolutionary prediction. You have got to be kidding. "To find them you must know evolution"? Evolution predicts? The whole post is satire, right?

Evolution is a joke and has no logic or intellect whatsoever. Yes, I am a Christian and darn proud of it! Evolution is Junk Science whether you are Christian or not.

Was the dufe (PatrickHenry) really posting kiddie porn images? No. This is the problem with taking at face value the posts of a person who missed this morning's dose of Thorazine - unreliable information.

The continued teaching of the theory of evolution in our public schools is the triumph of atheist hope over experience. But, then again, we elected Clinton. Twice.

Patrick Hillary? Retires into hiding when intellectually challenged and will go to JR to get you banished over this thread. Member of a group of Christian bashers. Just ignore them. They post to taunt you, so treat them as the spiritually dead that they are.

Before the theory most people believed that God had created.
This statement raises an interessting question. If we used to belive in the creation described in genisis, we did we switch to evolution?
Maybe because as we discovered more of earth and the animal kingdom we learned that life on our planet is not static but ever changing? We found fossils of animals which dont exist anyomre and we found animals living today with a short past, that is a "young species". The answer to these question are not written down in the bible but in the genetic code and the enviroment acting upon it.
If we want to know more about the world around us, if we want to satisfy our (god given?) curiosity we just have to look around and sometimes dig through dirt and we may know the answers someday. Or maybe not. Sitting around reading through the bible may be good for spiritual matters, but not if want to learn more about such mundane things as physics or biology.

Creation/God...Christianity---secular-govt.-humanism/SCIENCE---CIVILIZATION!
Originally the word liberal meant social conservatives(no govt religion--none) who advocated growth and progress---mostly technological(knowledge being absolute/unchanging)based on law--reality... UNDER GOD---the nature of GOD/man/govt. does not change. These were the Classical liberals...founding fathers-PRINCIPLES---stable/SANE scientific reality/society---industrial progress...moral/social character-values(private/personal) GROWTH!
Evolution...Atheism-dehumanism---TYRANNY...
Then came the SPLIT SCHIZOPHRENIA/America---

The continued teaching of the theory of evolution in our public schools is the triumph of atheist hope over experience. But, then again, we elected Clinton. Twice. One thing Christians should pick up on is that you don't WANT creationism or anything resembling Christianity being taught as an alternative to evolution in public schools; it (Christianity) isn't remotely close to STUPID enough. If you're going to teach religion alongside evolution, the religion you pick has to be the right one, i.e. a religion AS STUPID as evolution, and the only two possible candidates are voodoo and rastifari. A kid walking down the hall in his school should seen signs on three consecutive doors saying VOODOO, EVOLUTIONISM, and RASTIFARI. You could even have old-fashioned dunce caps for the teacher and all 30 students in those rooms, i.e. figure you'd have to be a dunce to even walk in the door.

My curiousity is piqued, or something like that. Can you describe for us what exactly the dufe (PH) posted which got the moderator so bent out of shape? The funny thing is that PH himself provides a fairly good argument against evolutionism in that most people would see how messed up HE was and not want any part of any sort of a doctrine or belief system which might have caused any such problems...

Mr. Madison, what you have just said, is the most insanely idiotic thing I have ever heard. At no point, in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

If the quality of a man can be determined by looking at those who oppose him, then consider my most determined "opposition": peg the prophet, medved, and f.christian. Examine their posts. Examine mine. I'm not worried.
