He drank wine. Why not beer? There is no bibical evidence that Jesus drank wine, although, at a wedding, He performed His first miracle by turning water into wine so He didn't disapprove of it as a beverage. He did not condone drunkeness. He did not authorize His likeness being used to give the impression that he drank Bud, either.
The picture was uncalled for and while defacing 'art' is not condoned, one can understand why an outraged citizen was moved to deface the thing.

sorry, can't agree with that ... obviously He would not promote drunkeness ... regarding beer, well there's no Biblical evidence that He drank beer ...
Matthew 11:19
The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. (Whole Chapter: Matthew 11 In context: Matthew 11:18-20)
Luke 7:34
The Son of Man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! (Whole Chapter: Luke 7 In context: Luke 7:33-35)
It's pretty clear here that He was drinking wine or He would have rebuked them for false accusation ... also, one of the accounts at the Last Supper says He will drink NO MORE of the fruit of the vine until He drinks it with the Disciples in His Father's Kingdom ... FWIW ...

Wait a minute! Why cant the guy who defaced the painting claim that his paint throwing was "ART". Artistic license is a broad term, right?

Well, at the very least, I know I'd have a wee bit of booze at my last supper on Earth.

Don't read the Bible much, do you? Or, if you do, you don't reflect much on what you read.
