I can't believe what I am reading and seeing here. Treason is the correct word.

This upgrade of the airbase in Qatar has been reported numerous times on several webstites. The Iraqis and everyone else in the Middle East are aware of the build-up. The base is so remote, no terrorists or Iraqi commandos could even find it, unless they're prepared to walk through the desert for two weeks without a source of water. Treason is when journalists discuss detailed strategic war plans, or reveal the location of secret US forces.

It looks more like something the Pentagon wants everyone to know about. I wonder why? Is it to give Saddam a false reason to use a WMD against the base so Bush can justify nukes at the start?

You can be certain the enemy know all of this and a whole lot more about what we are doing in the region. the people in the dark are us not them so it is hard to see how this could be treason. I've traveled extensively in trouble spots and have seen things that would usually not make the us papers and I've come to conclude that most things the government marks "secret" are meant to be kept from the US public since the bad guys already have a good handle on what we are up to.
