Can we forward this to his diocese so that the bishop can't say he didn't know?

"Sacrament of the Present Moment" is a phrase that was coined long ago"

DeCaussade was born in 1675 and died in 1751. So his letters were written a little less than 3 centuries ago. His letters were addressed to Visitation nuns, for whom he was friend and spiritual director for many years.

Though he was a Jesuit, his spirituality was more Carmelite in nature.

So he is a bit of an orphan, and the Jesuits have never advanced his cause for sainthood. But I have a personal devotion to him, and his concepts of abandonment and the sacrament of the present moment have helped me keep my own sanity (such as it might be ;-) for quite for time.
