Hey man, no point in arguing. I suppose older freepers need to take their medication more often, as well. These old and experienced freepers get their kick out of put-downs and making landish remarks. They are good for one thing - sophistry. They will call you everything that their dirty mind could not unload on their grandchildren, and then turn around and claim that they will not stoop down. I guess, once you have a Masters degree, you are exempt from a lot of things.

Who said I am looking for a pro-life stalwart? I just want people to be honest.

People(satradu) in glass houses should not throw stones, IMHO.

Oh dear, another self important little man, with far too high opinion of himself, selective memory , and a projection problem. LOL

Since you are obviously bereft of the abilty to do simple math, allow me to explain what I was driving at. Since Satadru is still in college, I could have gotten my degrees 21 years ago, or so, and still be under 50. That makes me " Madame Methuselah " and alive when Coolidge was in office ?

Yes, your snipings are childish and I have NOT stoopped to that level. You, OTOH, continue in that vein.

As to " comic relief "; I suggest a visit to the bathroom, and you taking a peek at yourself. :-)

Ron Paul has voted against every big govt bill. I suppose when conservatism has been converted to big govt spending, people will call him a liberal. Bush supports more liberal Democrat position than Ron Paul ever will. Ron Paul is a bigger conservative than Bush ever will.

Keep coming with your insults old man, it looks really good. I always thought older folks are cranky, but I never knew how bad things could be. I guess once you have Masters degree, you can do a lot of things.

You keep this up and your picture will appear next to the addage of "people in glass houses should not throw stones".

Oh well it is a free country.

Ron Paul is a bigger conservative than Bush ever will.

If your definition of being a big conservative is standing in the corner and sucking your thumb and crying over on how America is so mean to Saddam Hussein, then you have a warped definition, just like Ron Paul.

But like I said before, it's a free country.

granduer = grandeur. These are not typos, you just don't know how to spell.

BTW, once you know an iota of economics, or mathematics, or statistics, or anything that is important, we will talk about my expertise. If you pull out your left-wing, socialist, protectionist, anti-immigrant hysteria, you will be ass-whopped by some of my students. So, go read some Adam Smith and Ricardo before we can have a discussion.

"I'd rather have a "RINO" that tanks Kyoto, the ICC, pushes through a tax cut, signs the most pro-life legislation in 20 years, etc. etc"

Wait a minute -- killing Kyoto and the ICC were no-brainers even for a RINO. You want credit for them?? And what is the "etc. etc." all about?

The symbolic "tax cut" drop-in-the-bucket will be negated by 50X due to all the extraneous spending on the Teddy Kennedy "Education" Project, aid for AIDS Africa, Uraguay, the Middle East/Afghanistan, bloating federal payrolls by leaps and bounds, 'Homeland Security', ETC, ETC. For what it's worth , I believe Dubya's pro-life stance is sincere and effective...

One of the ways Dubya can regain some prestige and respect from "real" conservatives will be in whom he tabs to the Supreme Court should he have the opportunity. Until then, he's gonna have a tough row to hoe if he doesn't get tough with borders and federal spending.

How about you get out of your ivory tower and see the real world.

The fresh air may do you some good, although I doubt it, since your penchant for humbleness seems to be near zero.

It would certainly help you , if only you knew at least a little something , about what you attempt to write about.

George W. Bush was born in New Haven, Ct., whilst his father was attending Yale. After graduation, the Bush family moved to Texas ( yes, George W. was a toddler ) and that is his home state.

He attended prep school and college in Mass. ; however, as you should know, where on attends school, does NOT necessarily make that their birth place, nor home.

Maine is where the Bush family has had their summer house, for generations. That, yet again, does NOT necessarily connote one's home state, nor place of birth.

Since all of this information is common knowledge, and you don't know any of it, it would appear that you either 1) can't be bothered enough to pay attention to any candidate's / president's bio. 2) you express opinions based on NO knowledge. 3) Your opinions are invalid, because you don't know enough facts , upon which to base them.

You insult others, claim to have " intellectual heft " and a superior education; yet, you have shown that you have neither.

Ron Paul, if I am not mistaken, voted against the tax cut. That is Conservative ?

As for the rest of your reply, it isn't worth what the vice presidency was said to be worth.

I have never said I need a candidate who agrees with me a 100%. In case you have a short-term memory, I want candidates to be honest. Don't tell me you like small govt and then boast to be a national school principal. Don't tell me you want to reduce the size of the govt, and then increase govt size to the largest level in American history. Don't tell me that you are against govt spending, and then spend 2 trillion dollars when eveyr household has to cut its budget. Don't tell me that you will defend political free speech with your life ("Over my dead body..blah blah blah"), and then turn around and sign the most blatant un-Constitutional bill ever. Don't tell me that you oppose stem-cell research, and then use aborted baby parts to carry out such things. Why couldn't he tell who he really is? In case you do not give me the same old tripe again, I want candidates to be honest and they do not have to agree with me a 100%. You can say that one more time. Oh, who am I kidding, your reply will somehow say it.

And please do not give me the ICC crap. Senate would never pass such a treaty. Are you sure about Kyoto? His EPA thinks differently. You got a tax-cut? You must be on welfare, that you thought your 600 dollar refund was a tax-cut. The people who voted for him will not see it until 2005, and it will vanish when he loses in 2004.

LOL -- Hey young whipper-snapper! That Masters degree, a medicated Bette Davis demeanor (the 'Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?' version), and blatant hypocracy apparently IS a 'Get Our Of Jail Free' card here.

That might explain some things.

Wow I guess Al Gore would have given us a "non-symbolic" tax cut. Anyway that will go over your head since you and only you, Mr. Conservative of all conservatives knows what best, even when presented with facts.

One of the ways Dubya can regain some prestige and respect from "real" conservatives will be in whom he tabs to the Supreme Court should he have the opportunity. Until then, he's gonna have a tough row to hoe if he doesn't get tough with borders and federal spending.

Uh "real" conservatives don't win elections, they help but the middle has to be wooed to win and that is a lesson the left has learned, but not the "true blue" conservatives, who have to micromanage everything and complain like 2 year olds if a t is not crossed right.

Hoover refused to create a welfare state that Bush loooooooves. You know nothing about Coolidge, or Hoover. Quick!! Do an internet search in a liberal website to get some smear on two fine Presidents. Read a book old man, and you may learn something. Your ignorance is coming out from every pore of your body. Why don't you wait till the morning when more people are around and bad-mouth Hoover then. Now, I see why you support Bush. You are having from the same branches. Bush will never come close to Coolidge or Hoover. Please do not flaunt your ignorance any further. Please. You have said a lot of stupid things, but if you go down any further I will die laughing at your ignorance. This added with your protectionist BS really shows your intellectual heft.
