I've heard the same thing. Back in the Elizabethian era it would have been considered a spell and witchcraft and get you in a mess of trouble. (Believing in evil spirits was a no-no.)

I've also heard that "good-bye" is a shortened form of, I think, "God be with you"!

Hi, blackie! Peets coffee is a brand I'm not familiar with, but I like almost ALL coffees......not quite as crazy about the Cajun coffees, but if there's nothing else.......:)
