President Bush headed to Kennebunkport, Maine for the weekend today but thanked the Senate for passing some much needed legislation, including the military spending bill. Earlier in the day, Bush met with the US National Soccer team and was presented with a jersey. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Amen! God bless you, Mr. President! I hope you get some rest. Heavey duty prayers for August Sept Oct November. We have some very very critical months just ahead.

We must pray - this is not optional.

Good for you for giving up the booze. I'm just waiting for some late night comedian to say Bush fell of the wagon.

What a cool idea for a jersey, too! I think that's the first one I've seen with #43 on it. All the others had #1...

One does wonder, however, when the man's going to learn to bend down a little when he boards Marine One. He seems to bonk his head every week :o)

I personally find his occasional dingbattiness endearing ;-)

I went to my high school boy friend's graduation from Great Lakes years ago. It was August and the guys were in formation and every minute or so, one would drop. Everyone acted as if it wasn't happening. It was wierd and kind of funny. Not for the guys who dropped over though.

Amen to that! I've been FReeping a lot less, and praying a lot more.

Shades of Gerald Ford, you think? It does make him more human and lovable, but I don't want him to over do it.

Yes, back in the Dark Ages I went to my brother's graduation at the USNA and the same thing happened. It was hot as Hades and all these young men splendidly turned out in their dress whites keeled over every few minutes. They'd march right over them like nothing happened. I was very young and horrified that nobody helped them! Bet some mothers in the stands had to be held back, lol.

Well, FReeping less is ok since I've given you such a heavy responsibility. The lovely ones called from Munich, so, yet again, you have persuaded the Lord to take that big 747 and land its precious cargo safely. Got my eye on the van. Gotta be hot out there.

That is quite common when someone stands at attention for a period of time especially if they lock their knees. It does something to your circulation and you faint.
