Did anyone catch last night's episode of The Rerun Show?

NBC has a new show, titled The Rerun Show, that is a parody of old television programs of the past. I thought that this sounded like it might be funny, if handled correctly. I came across it last night and saw a fairly funny skit of Different Strokes. Then, the show featured a parody of The Partridge Family in which Partridge brother Keith has an INCESTUOUS relationship with sister Laurie. Mind you, this was not presented as actor David Cassidy having an affair with actress Susan Dey. This was presented as Keith hooking up with Laurie to make his girlfriend jealous. Also, the two children of the show, witnessing brother and sister making out, decide to start making out on their own. Of course, these were adult actors in the roles but, this was shown in primetime. I turned the channel immediately.

I caught it at the same time you did (during the Diff'rent Strokes parody) and I thought that was hillarious! I meant to watch the rest, but something came up. It sounds like it took a turn for the worse there!

Anna's sluggish delivery is part of what makes it funny......

As far as her size, Oh well......

I like girls who look like real girls alot better than looking like they barf after every meal.

To each his own I guess, enjoy!

What's creepy is the fact that this was based on a real script from the REAL Partridge Family show -- Keith tries to make another girl interested by pretending Laurie is his girlfriend... Back then the entendres were a little more subtle, but I remember being more than a little freaked out by this whiff of incest at age 13.

Hollywood: Still a cesspool, but they've finally stopped being embarassed by it.

The US entertainment industry is a business, not a social study. The "blue" part of the map vs. the "red" part of the map in a political race is also important to consider when looking at Hollywood. It's all about money, not values today or any sense of responsibilty. Shame is removed from the equation and the level of entertainment drops accordingly.

Do they keep Anna sedated 24/7? All those commercials of her show featuring her slurring her words and speaking as if she just woke up.

I've caught those commercials a couple of times, and it appears to me that she is probably a prescription sedative abuser. She has all the same mannerisms as a friend of mine who got addicted to Xanex.

I have to say, I missed the show. But just from watching the promos for it I knew it would be trash.

The Onion is right: we are running out of retro. Or running out of ideas. Heard that there were 4 projects in the works for a movie about Alexander the Great, whiddled down to 2 now. Bunch of bandwagon hoppers-on.

Exactly.

NBC is one confused network; it can't decide if it wants to peddle this brand of crap or stuff like "Law & Order".

My definition of "REAL AMERICAN": Citizen of the U.S.A. and not citizen of any other country.

Duel citizenship is bullshit. You've got to choose.

P.S. You are an assumptive ass.

Bonaduce's notoriety is, at best, typical of trash celebrityhood.

For my part, I have a tongue-in-cheek interest in him, in that his TV character is an indelible part of my prepubescent brain (he resides there with the likes of Adam West, Julie Newmar, Don Adams, Don Knotts, Jonathan Harris, etc.). The archetypical red-headed, smart-arse, fictional kid grows-up to become an actual, unrepentant troublemaker. It's like seeing Eddy Haskell brought to real life. I can't help but wonder what he is going to do next.

Some people are facinated with gangsters or outlaws, I just sometimes follow some of the TV actors I rememember from my more impressionable age.

Creepy yes, incestuous no.
They were not related in the least, they were thrown together because their cheating ass parents decided a new piece of ass beat the one who begot their children.
The whole premise of the show was to show that divorce was cool.

Are you talking about The Partridge Family? I thought that the mom on that show was a widow.

Doh.
I confused the Brady Bunch with the Puketridge Family.
Please excuse my rant.

LOL! I hate to be the one to tell you this but, Dad Brady was a widower and Mom Brady was a widow. Neither one were divorced.
