One would hope the authorities drained enough blood from his corpse to do the AIDS testing, etc.

Yes, but too bad they first didn't shoot the pistol from his hand, then proceed to shoot him from the legs up, a few inches at a time, until they reached the head. I'd pay for the extra bullets.
