Minnesota's Golden Gophers Damned fine football team that gets now respect. They almost beat the Duck team that would end up #2 the next year.
No one respects Gophers or Ducks. Go figure.

In what other country could you see a child awestruck after meeting his favorite multi-millionaire football hero, and later see his father try to explain to him why the same player's picture is on a bulletin board at the post office? Pretty funny article, TG. Thanks for the ping!
(Go Dawgs!!)

Those spear helmets are only for home games...They still have the Indian profile helmets on the road this season.

Bryant Westbrook. The former Lions Dback that always got burned deep and a zillion pass interference penalties.

The great thing about football is that you can enjoy it even if the home team is cr*p. Assuming of course you are not watching them.
And there is always college ball on Saturdays.

And here I thought you were talking about a Westbrook who had some value...LOL
To: Wondervixen
He does have value.....if you are a receiver or quarterback..
I toasted a beer to his leaving the Lions. I coached Dbacks for 4 years.

College ball is the best type!!!

Obviously this thread has become a rite of passage. You cannont consider yourself a true freeper football fan without having posted to this thread. Fortunately, I have the privilege of being a fan of the next Super Bowl champions so I can cheer them on with a straight face. Of course I refer to the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS.
I'm telling you, you could bet the Colts all year and never lose money.

LOL. Nope. I coached high school. If I had time, I'd be back for a fifth year. I may be back next year.

That's all right, these things happen even in the best of families.
I've heard a rumor that there is at least 4 or 5 taverns there.
