Imus just asked Lieberman why Rubin isn't in handcuffs and dragged out in front of the cameras like all of the other criminals. Lieberman seemed to doze off at that point...

Looks like Gray Davis has some answering to do also! And the PRESS still swallows the line that the RAT party is all for the little guy.
The RATS are the REAL party of special interests and BIG money.

You are correct that, if I can interpret, there is an implicit RICO-type corruption here between Congress, certain businesses, banks, and touters of stock. (And I was almost getting ready to question everything I knew about capitalism.)
The ring of crooks involved shares a short term view that they can 'game the system' for personal gains and walk away as happened in the S&L 'bust-outs.' But at the same time there are those rising to the occasion to defend the longterm health of companies and markets. Companies cannot survive without trust. It should be self-correcting if let alone. I too doubt legislation can improve things.
It is worth noting that most of the companies involved have huge regulatory relationships with the govt.

And just WHO are these economists who determined that we should have gained 68,000 new jobs last month and since we didn't, the market should tank again. Guess the fact that some jobs were gained and no one lost their job is an affront to their leftist leanings......
A whole lot of corrupt people with too too much power......

BTTT. Good for you. Did you give us Imus' email address so that we can write to him too? I haven't had time to read your thread yet but it sounds like he reads his emails. FV
To: Mo1
Imus also said, after some torturous dodging on Lieberman's part, "You are unbelievable. I've never struck a U.S Senator before, but..."
The I-man has his moments, especially lately.

Did you give us Imus' email address so that we can write to him too? My pleasure..... Imus@msnbc.com
Send away, and make sure Bernard gets a copy too. Leadpenny keyed me to that and it seemed to work.

But for all the investigations Dan Burton has done, in the name of the people, nothing has come of them.

"The Hammer?" I think you mean Sen. "Torch" Torcelli. I'm not aware of Rep. Tom "the Hammer" Delay having such problems.
You need to adjust your DU secret decoder ring to get the correct congressional nicknames spliced into the spin sheets faxed to you seminar posters. :)

"But for all the investigations Dan Burton has done, in the name of the people, nothing has come of them."
Exactly. As I pointed out in my earlier post, Lieberman is no fool. Conniving politician, but no fool.

It is my observation that as much as I loathe NBC, Timmy Russert is the best at putting anybody in the hot seat. It doesn't always turn out his way when he has someone, say, like Dick Cheney on meet the depressed.
He's put Tommy Daschle in the hot seat before. Too bad Janet Reno turned down the chance to debate her opponents for governor here in Florida, with Tim Russert as the moderator.
That's just ducky, Janet! FV

Ping. Did you see bobthenailer's great letter to Imus? It's here somewhere. I can never remember post numbers - try 51.

McCain USED to be on Imus practically every day. I just can't take that man. He's not really a republican at all. Maybe Imus and McCain are bored with each other. FV

Maybe Kenny boy struck a deal and is singing like a bird. We don't really know what's going on at Justice. Maybe there's a sting operation. That's my theory.
If Johnny Bin Walker can strike a deal and he was in the Al Quaeda for 20 years, Trafficant gets eight years and was not in the Al Quaeda, anything's possible with Kenny since the justice system seems off kilter with all the deal making.
Gee, didn't we have a president and vice president who were both traitors? I reckon we did. And now Bubba wants to jump in a foxhole and shoot Palestinians (stated at a Jewish dem fundraiser). I believe you, Bubba, yeah right.

Imus just asked Lieberman why Rubin isn't in handcuffs and dragged out in front of the cameras like all of the other criminals.Hell, I can answer that. Because most in DC protect each other. It's part of the club oath.
You really got to blow it, like Traficant, (Check spelling).

Your right!
To: JohnPaulJones
You can't put all the CEO's in jail!!!! Who will be there to rent the politicians to run the bloated imperial government!?!?!?!?!
To: BOBTHENAILER
In light of the remarkable search engine results available on the internet, we need to pass emails to everyone regarding the FACT that GRAY DAVIS has accepted BIG MONEY from Worldcom, Citibank, casino operators, health insurance HMO's (like Blue Cross/Shield/CIGNA), and Bernie Schwartz.
What a cast of characters (or lack thereof!)!
