djmojo: Just posted this in the Freeper zone...WE will NOT allow the ignorant and arrogant to hijack the foundation upon which our democracy was built. We will NOT allow them to twist and corrupt the meaning of words. We are the United States of America. Whether you like it or not, United means something. It means that both the popular and unpopular views of the day are allowed and encouraged to be expressed without fear of reprisal(whether violent or slanderous) or censorship. Those who would have otherwise would be well advised to go take another look at the Constitution. Your actions and words are a shameful disgrace. Being a patriot is more than slapping a bumper sticker on your car, or chanting "USA!" at a wrestling match. No one needs to tell me I'm a patriot, nor do I need to prove it to anyone. The men and women who sacrificed life and limb for this great nation, did not make distinctions in who they were trying to defend. They defended all of us - liberal and conservative or otherwise(even Communists). Because we are the United States of America. The political difference between Communism and Democracy, is that in a Democracy, even the Communist is allowed a voice, whereas any alternative political viewpoint in the Communist state is silenced. So, FOR THE LAST TIME... if you are so ignorant that you would call a liberal Democrat a commie, and tell them to go to China, realize that you are the one who is closest to the Communist, and you would probably be better suited to make that trip. Thoughtful and factual contention to today's issues beyond the tired, self-pitying ramblings of Rush and his ilk should be encouraged and assessed. All other criticism should be seen for exactly what it is: the bathroom wall scrawlings of the immature and the illiterate.

Regarding not-a-sheep, if that person posted something conservative, how can you tell it's propaganda? Maybe I'm just paranoid, but how do we know the Dems over there aren't just looking at new members who join FR and then claiming to be them, just to get them axed?

How long until some of the "regulars" at FR are fraudulently "outed" by the Dems? There's lots of self-professed conservatives here who post some pretty liberal ideas. The Dems could cause no end of havoc and suspicion. And no, I don't have any names or examples, no flame wars needed, LOL!

I will not repeat them here, because, unlike many of you, I do NOT believe that name-calling and/or slander advances any cause. Again, this was one of the main points of my original post to begin with. I came to your site to initiate an intelligent debate on the merits of the 1st Amendment - and the initial discussion was both thoughtful and polite. I appreciate that. I did not come here advocating any "liberal", "communist", "subversive", or even "Democratic" principles, because while I may believe that some of these are worth discussing with you folks, I respect your forum enough NOT to bait, or engage you in such a manner.

But it was a "school project"...yeah right.
