Don't hold your breath waiting for a response. I've notice that Mike isn't addressing my safety concerns either.

Always listen to experts. They'll tell you what can't be done, and why. Then do it.

Where people get lost with this is because they don't know the entire picture.

Well, you see, that's where you were supposed to educate us silly, uneducated hillbillies. You know, use this forum as a question-and-answer opportunity, network, schmooze, use some salesmanship, and maybe even learn a few things about some potential customers.

Instead, you make glib insults, mock some of the biggest pro-gun activists in the nation, and tell us that we "don't know the entire picture". Oh, well. It's your loss, not ours.

FYI, FR has a few fire arms training center operators, several gunsmiths, a former DCM coach, Hunters Safety course teachers, the Head Design Engineer of Sentinel Firearms, several (NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, Personal Protection, and Home) Firearms Safety Instructor, several Range Safety Officers, at least 3 dozen police officers (at last count), hundreds (if not thousands) of veterans and current servicemen and -women, hundreds (if not thousands) of private business investors, 60+ pilots (that I could find), about a dozen PR execs and employees, over 150 engineers... many of whom have already been on this thread, and you have written to... in other words, people who would understand technical discussions, people who could help you keep a good business idea moving upwards, people who could become medium- and large-scale customers, and people who would have otherwise been happy to help you out.

I thought he showed remarkable restraint after being called a moron and other insults. He didn't start posting until 27 so why don't you try reading the first batch of posts before that and look at all of the personal attacks.

"WARNING: THIS GUN IS TEMPORARILY USELESS FOR SELF-DEFENSE!"

Yep, sure is. By which time you may be relying on culinary implements.

You are trying to make a dangerous device in people hands idiot proof.

No! I have no answer on how to fix that. I have been asked throughout my career to provide answers to that question. That is why there are so many safety regulations covering everything from step ladders to lawn mowers.

The only way to prevent a accidental discharge from a gun is to unload the the damn thing and to treat it as loaded and cocked each and every time you touch one or pick one up.

No device or warning label can prevent a idiot from doing something stupid. Your device must be placed in the chamber. How about placing nothing in the chamber? Won't that work just as well considering a idiot might pick up the gun? Or, is there something actually better than nothing?

I have read every post on this thread. Regardless of what others may had said, if SBI wants to be successful he needs to learn how to behave in public.

p.s. He shouldn't be promoting a product here anyway

If someone is dumb enough to want this invention, then I hope it locks up their gat forever.

This is a device for those too stupid and/or untrained to safely handle a firearm.

I think Jim just opened a can of "TROLL BE GONE". Perhaps that would work on a home invader. What do you say, Inspector?

can you tell me what the phrase "Molon Labe" means?(

Can I try?

Molon Labe is the scientific name for the Melon Lab, a retriever known for it's love of melons. When a Melon Lab's owner brings home fresh melons it will often call to the dog "Come and get 'em!"
