President Bush was granted trade promotion authority today by the Senate, and later thanked them for working so hard on this issue. Bush also met with Jordan's King Abdullah and discussed the war on terror, the crisis in Israel, and future actions against Iraq. Although King Abdullah made it clear that an attack on Iraq could lead to unrest in the entire region, Bush made it clear that he would not change his mind regarding a regime change. On the lighter side, Bush signed the Nursing Reinvestment Act of 2002, which will create federal assistance programs for nursing students as well as support a public service campaign encouraging people to become nurses. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

The storms were incredibly intense, but thankfully, I only have a few downed tree limbs- and still have my power!

How wonderful! Amazing that a child can see what so many adults can't.

"Morning everyone!!"
Morning, Grammie.
Could you send over some of those chocolate chip cookies? I'm fighting against the temptation to open the half-gallon of Friendly's chocolate chip ice cream and smother it with Smucker's butterscoth sauce. And it's ALL YOUR FAULT. Somebody HELP ME! Grrrrr! Stupid old bat.

Oh no! I shouldn't have asked because now I have to go out and buy that song! It sure sounds fitting, though :-)If you like country music, the Dixie Chicks ROCK! And that song always makes me think of W. and his ranch in Texas. I picture Laura singing it to him! :-)

And I went boating early and didn't see your post...lol.
My question is re: a poster on another thread who stated that Rumsfield had announced there would be NO invasion of Iraq prior to the elections. She couldn't provide source, just said it was so. Since I hadn't heard that..and I watch most Rumsfield briefings....I was just going to throw my question out and see if anyone else had heard that.
