Whereas the tools and tactics may be the same, the roles of domestic law enforcement are diametrically opposed to the mission of the military. With the painful slouching towards a police state here in America, furthered by socialist politicians and their leftist cohorts in the mass-media, the line of distinction between the two has become more and more blurred. The high level of ignorance in these matter among the general populace only enables the statists to perpetrate this fraud even further.
The Police are commissioned to apprehend criminal suspects who are American citizens with Constitutional Rights, and who are innocent until proven guilty.
The Military exists to close with and destroy with the enemy without compunction or remorse.
