True. We could lower our crime rate dramatically but it would take a complete rework of the social and political landscape and for now it cant be done because the criminal underclass and its sources are the Left's pets and the Right is fixated on the Middle East not Middle America.

I agree as for Britian its not the lack of guns for non law breaking civilians in Britian that is responsible for the level of crime, Britian has not been a gun owning society since the beginning of the 20th century, it is instead due to the influx of drugs, coupled with an efficient and complicated legal sytem which is right open for abuse.

More police, a slicker system, and proper sentences for those convicted of real crime is whats needed in Britian.
