"Stupid wussie? Stop it, you're making me cry!"

"Do you really think this stupid poll affects anything, stupid?"

Cowards like you caused America to lose the Vietnam War. The anti-war movement was started by enemy agents by turning the opinions of a small, but vocal group of idiots. That small group grew into a majority of Americans that were opposed to the war in Vietnam. This small group undermined the entire war effort.

This time around the stakes are higher! If we don't take out Saddam, then he will strike at the U.S. with nukes!

You are right. I gave the wrong list...we're policing WMDs now. How about Iran, China, India, Pakistan, half of Europe...some of those were even included in the President's Axis of Evil. They all have WMDs. Are we going to see a poll on whether or not to attack China? How would you vote?

As far as the 3,000 dead Americans, it was not an WMD as is normally defined, it was a 747. And even Iraq's worst enemies (including those in the Bush White House) have not been able to link Iraq to those. If they were, they damned well should have attacked by now.

And since, at the moment, all we are doing is sitting around beating our chests, getting all wound up, giving Saddam Hussein time to prepare (who in hell is planning this thing, anyway?), why not go to Congress and demand a formal declaration? Can you give me a good reason?

Oh I can predict your answer: because the candyasses in Congress would say "No". Probably true. So, there is your answer...according to the Constitution (maybe you've heard of it) we (President Bush) would be obligated to abide by that decision.

But there is nothing preventing him from using his bully pulpit to call out every one of the dissenting votes and making them pay in November. If his cause is as righteous as you seem to feel it is, it should be a cakewalk.

It was the great Roman orator Cato the Elder, during the Third Punic War, that ended every speech with a thundering, "Carthago delende est!" ("Carthage must be destroyed!". Carthage ultimately was.

Bush could profit from his example.

Personally I voted no. It is not that I do not believe Sadam could be a threat I just want proof and reasons to start another war when we haven't finished in Afganistan yet. I am afraid this just seems more like a gift to daddy than a necessary venture into another country for security purposes. We had our chance and a legitimate excuse 10 years ago and let the UN talk us out of finishing the job. I would like to see some provocation on Iraq's part before we go a warring again.

Keep in mind we can all sit here and talk big, but some poor kid is going to have to go over there and actually be in harms way and maybe come home in a bag. I fought in one war that nobody could explain, I don't want to see other young men and women have to do the same. Watch "Black Hawk Down" and remember that those guys died for the glory of UN nation building under Mr. Clinton. We had know business being in Somalia, we have no business being in Bosnia, we had no business being in Serbia, and I see no business in being in Iraq at this time. If there is justifiable cause to go into Iraq then let the President come out in public, give a speech explaining those reasons, get a declaration of war from Congress and then let's roll. If he can't or won't do that then I will not blindly back more foreign incursions.

Let the flaming begin!

Really? Well, it detroyed the WTC, and countless American lives. So, I guess because our enemys didn't use a missle to attack us THIS time, we should just forget about a missle defense system, too? Yeah, that sound thinking. Perhaps, when a disaster like 9/11 happens again (and make no misstake, it will)and you personally know several of the dead...you may change your liberal, wait till they slap me attitude. Your thinking KILLS PEOPLE.

You're wrong...it was NOT the lame, useless UN...it was the "coalition" that was gathered at the time. Which, is even MORE reason to attack now. So, just because we "HAD" a chance 10 years ago & didn't take it, THAT'S your argument for not attacking NOW? And a gift to daddy? What kind of crap is that? How about giving the American people the gift of LIFE,without the threat of nuclear attack from Islamic finatics?

You're all over the place. I merely pointed out that it was not a nuke, or a chemical weapon, or a bio-weapon (WMD) that hit the WTC; as far as I know Al Qaida/the Taliban lacked nukes/chem/bios. So how would going after Iraq or anyone else with WMDs apply? It's apples and oranges.

You seem to be suggesting that we attack those with 747 technology...

And I guess that whole silly Constitution need not apply anymore, now that your boy is in office. What the hey, if Clinton can think he knows more than Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, et alia, than Bush must think he does too. Consitution? Who needs it? What did it ever do for us?

Don't be too harsh on him. He's from Minnesota and doesn't know any better. Its a liberal left-wing state, close to New Jersey and New York in its voting pattern.

Actually, I did mention Pakiston (post #4). And for the record it would correctly be his diatribe.

Well, That about sums up your political affiliation. So, you're of the opion just to wait them out UNTIL they get the delivery system for the nukes? Go back to Florida & have another chad fest.

and how precisely to you think they would do that? With
1) what warheads?
2) what delivery system?

If building and deploying nukes was easy everyone would have done it by now...

Which is EXACTLY the point. They will soon have that ability. So, are YOU prepared to wait UNTIL then? When will we truely know? AFTER, the nuke is dropped? Don't you understand that these Islamic jerks want nothing more then YOU TOTAL & UTTER DESTRUCTION? They will NEVER cease until they achieve that goal.
