Torricelli must be laughing his head off at this "chastisement".

Hey, the Torch said he paid the guy back. The guy in prison said he didn't. Who ya gonna believe?
To: sinkspur
can you believe this...Traficant was sent to prison for 8 yrs for the same TODAY. Rush, run for office so we can
know a republican has a backbone
To: cactusSharp
A "Republican with a backbone" is an oxymoron.

Whoody Doo! What does it mean other than our criminal justice system is corrupt. If a bunch of senators actually agreed to admonish him that must mean he's guilty as hell, but the prosecutor was on the take.

"Senate Ethics Committee"
Isn't that an oxymoron ?

I'm NOT surprised about this "punishment". A RAT Senate is supposed to toss one of their own? NEVER! The Torch SHOULD be behind bars with his buddy Traficant but I guess the RATS do things different in the Senate.

I'm NOT surprised about this "punishment". A RAT Senate is supposed to toss one of their own? NEVER! The Torch SHOULD be behind bars with his buddy Traficant but I guess the RATS do things different in the Senate. The Senate "ethics" committee is made up of three DemocRATs and three Republicans. As much as I'd like to chastise the DemocRATs, the three Republicans bear as much blame, unless it can be shown that Inouye had two votes.
I just e-mailed Inouye. I'll now look up the other miscreants and do the same.

COME ON, PEOPLE!
This was expected. When it comes to political power, even honorable Democrats like Inouye fall in line to protect their party.
"We're too tired I'll be honest with you to make any decisions tonight," the committee chairman, Democratic Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii, said as the meeting broke up.

So, the Senate Ethics (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA) Committee decides he did take the gifts, which is illegal, but he doesn't pay any penalty for his illegal actions.
Typical.

the letter said Torch took the money and gifts..Torch said he did not.Evidence proves he did....unflippin'believable
burn in hell Jumpin Jeffors(sp)

...and the fine citizens of Noo Joyzee will no doubt re-elect him.

Now I think it's becoming more clear why many of us didn't have much stomach for sending Traficant away for eight years. And not I'm not saying the guy was pure as the driven snow, but Toricelli. Let's get real. He's a friggin criminal.
