Get over your hissy-fit and keep Drudge as your start-up page. There is NO better start-up page available. Not only does he break all the news (Or links to whomever breaks it) but it's a quick load (No graphics).
Again...Nothing is even a close second to Drudge. But to each his own...

I use my.yahoo.com. Works well for me because I use yahoo for email. You can pretty much customize the page however you want. Quotes/weather/news/scores/comics/dictionary/word of the day/etc/etc/etc. There is a ton of content you can use.

Did you know that Drudge's dad runs that site? (Great site, by the way).

Democratic Underground. It will wake you up in the morning.
So will a really evil hangover, in just about the same manner.

My favorites had become very congested with with work/IT related stuff. I made my links toolbar just Drudge, FR, Newsmax, Unisys Weather, and a few websites I host on my AS/400 that I need to check frequently. Saves me time anyway.

Of course if you decide NOT to keep Drudge the other 4,582,414 people can pick up the slack.

I use: www.refdesk.com. It is Matt Drudge's father's web site and an unbelievable site for information.

Drudge was a one hit pony,
he's old news.

http://www.refdesk.com
It has news headlines, search engines and about everything else you can think of... (refdesk's an excellent site...done by Matt Drudge's dad....)
To: Helms
I put the latests posts from FR as the home page.
To: dead
I prefer my company's homepage, to create the illusion that I intend to do something work-related on the internet. heh heh

I agree. But that is the point, it is good to see what other people are reading to know what they are thinking. Somtimes it is good, sometimes it is bad.

I use Excite.com also. Personalize it with weather, stocks, TV guide, sports or whatever you want. Then link to FR or other sites.
