First twins Barbara and Jenna Bush apparently learned little from their scrape last year with Texas lawmen, who were called by the Bush-hating manager at an Austin Tex Mex restaurant who spotted the underage duo ordering Margaritas with fake ID.
They've been luckier this summer but not a whole lot more careful, according to a source at one Arlington, Va., pub not far from the White House.
The bar, Iota's, was carding very thoroughly one recent Thursday night, so the presidential twins' "fake IDs must be sweet," the source tells the magazine Washingtonian Online.
"When a bartender recognized the twins, he took their beers away," the e-zine reports. "But the twins still stuck around."
The Bush girls, who turn legal later this year, reportedly visited the bar with "a pack of pals" to see a folk band called Brown Couch, whose guitarist attends Yale with Barbara.

Don't believe everything you read. You'll notice they didn't mention the brand.

These two sound normal to me. They didn't want him to run for POTUS. Here they are in the spotlight, one they didn't want, and they're actually acting their age. Not that Mom and Dad shouldn't put their collective foot down, but it's normal for young people to do this stuff.
Their birthday is in May? It's going to be a long ten months if every incident is reported. It's not like they're getting into bar fights.

You think Chelsea is 10 times the lady the Bush twins are!!!??? Is this the same Chelsea that was so drunk coming out of a London club she couldn't walk? She was half dragged to her car and laid in the back seat. So drunk she couldn't sit upright. This must be the Clinton definition of Lady!

Totally unsubstantiated BS. Where is the bartender the "source" claims took the girls' beer away? What's his name? Where the evidence that the girls had bogus IDs? Who is the bouncer who got fooled by the bogus IDs?
This is trash journalism of the lowest rank.

Assuming the story is true, can anyone please advise when the Bush twins turn 21 so that we don't have to put up with their selfish, immature behavior being made national news to embarrass their parents?

I guess it's the fact that these two see nothing wrong with committing fraud and obtaining phoney IDs that bothers me more than the underage drinking. They seem to have a limitless supply of them.

Like it or not, times have changed and NOW it is ILLEGAL. If the Twins want a drink so badly, they should take a few vacations out of the U.S. where it is LEGAL for them to drink. The leftist press couldn't make political hay for it being illegal.

In this area, underage drinking is tacitly commonplace. The truth is the opposite of your statement, if it had been anyone other than the Bush girls, they would not have been recognized, and they would've continued to be served. In this place, despite the "careful" ID check, I suspect the majority of patrons were all younger than 21.
What's odd is another acticle at Drudge (about Britney), says the Bush girls have been observed drinking in France.
Now I'm not sure if any of this information has been coroborated. If so, these girls sure do know how to party.
Club Med
Jenna Bush may be too young to drink in the States, but France is another story. The President's 20-year-old daughter was spotted at St.-Tropez hotspot Caves du Roy drinking with two friends for more than four hours, London's Mirror reports. The threesome is said to have finished a $225 bottle of vodka and an equally pricey bottle of tequila at the club.
Jenna will have to stick to overseas bars until her birthday. In May 2001, she was caught using a fake ID to buy a drink. After paying a $100 fine and taking alcohol-awareness classes, she was nabbed again. Her second offense cost her $500, and the Bush twin's license was suspended.
A White House spokeswoman told us: "Both of the Bush girls are private citizens, and we will have no comment."

Having a beer is immature if your 20? What is it when your 40? You people pissing and maoning about mommy and daddy paying for college are making me laugh. Would you rather the government fund their educations?

These two idiots need to spend their summers with Grandma. She'd straighten them out.

I think you need a little practice in how to tell the difference between unsubstantiated BS and "facts."
