North Korea Investigative Report Part 1 - What is North Korea? Imagine you were born in a country where everybody lives in constant fear. Anything said against the government is grounds for execution or imprisonment. If you say you believe in God or that you're a Christian you will be shot within minutes. You must think what the government tells you to think, you must act how they tell you to act, and you must do exactly what they tell you to do
or else. You have no human rights, none at all. If the government doesn't kill you, the lack of food probably will. Millions have died in a famine. This is the scariest place in the world. Imagine you were born in North Korea. Very little is known about North Korea, a small country of 22 million people,. It remains the most secluded and mysterious nation in the world. Yet, millions of people are perishing and suffering at the hands of this ruthless regime. This summer a team of three people traveled to China to meet refugees fleeing from North Korea and learn about this reclusive society. Their findings are laid out in this 10-part series entitled, "The North Korea Investigative Report 2001." You will be shocked and disturbed by what you will soon discover. Our prayer is that God might move your heart to feel what He does and to do what He wants you to do.

The crack pipe should be taken away from Roger Clinton just long enough for him to sober up, and then he should have his eyes taped open and be forced to read these accounts.
He was, of course, one of a few Westerners invited to visit Pyongyang a few years ago, and bow at the graven image of a large statute of Kim Il Sung.

You are right, we all need to get on our knees and pray. May God help these poor souls, but more than there belly's being full, let's pray that their souls can be saved.

All I need to know about the brutality of the North Korean Communists was what I read
in an article in The Los Angeles Times during the 50th Anniversary observances of
The Korean War.
A man who'd been young recounted how he was captured by the North Korean Communists just
before the war broke out. He was jailed for attempting to evade service in the North Korean
military.
He said that he managed to escape during the chaos of the opening battles, but that
some prisoners had been burned to death or hatchetted to death while still in chains.
I'll never forget the takehome message he gave for his experience:
"The Communists were worse than the Japanese."
Given the little love lost between Koreans and the Japanese, that says a lot.

if anyone reading this thread doesn't think that No. Korea is hell on earth then they need to look at the following the following
composite image of the Earth as seen from space at night.
Scroll over to the Korean Peninsula.
Look at the difference between how much light emanates from No. Korea and how much comes from ROK.
Now look at Outer Mongolia. Notice the similarity between it and No. Korea.
Now remember, 22 Million people live in North Korea.
Try not to shiver.
Pray for these people. Their lives are worse than we can imagine.

One of the fruits of gun control, tyranny. This is so sad to read about. How can man be so cruel to his fellow human beings?
To: WWJD?
I think this is a glimpse of the tribulation period.
Of course it will be much worse than this.

There are a few North Korean web sites that have email addresses. When I have a few moments, I send them copies of the Declaration of Independence, or articles about successful defectors.
If you have time on your hands, use the 'net to push the idea of freedom through to those poor souls.

"satellite images of the concentration camps"
I'm sure if someone had enough cash they could get the Ikonos satellite people to take a load of pictures of the camps...

Well, somebody needs to alert the UN about this! They'll take care of it and enforce some basic human rights for all.(off sarcasm)
Actually, they're too busy right now trying the assert the fundamental rights of American children to view porn and defy their parents.

Thanks for the ping.
I'll read it after work.
