I'm with you 100%, but there are just too many bleeding heart liberals in Washington, the news media and in state legislatures.

Perhaps it's time to overthrow these rats and begin running the nation for the majority!

I want retribution and I want those who are guilty to never, ever again, have any chance to do it again.

This woman's anger and emotion is reflective of the majority of the population. Unfortunately, the anti-death penalty crowd uses anecdotes about death row inmates being cleared by DNA (they ARE being cleared, aren't they?), mental defectives on death row, and 17 year olds on death row to kick up dust. Keeping the death penalty is going to continue to be a struggle, let alone speed up the process as we've done here in Texas.

Then, we have certain religious leaders who want to show "compassion" for a cretin like Alejandro Avila, who would rape and torture a five-year old, then pose her provocatively as a thumb in society's eye.

I suggest that Barbara Stanley volunteer to take responsibility for any wrongful executions within her judicial district. If someone is shown to have been wrongfully executed then Stanley is executed for that crime. A wrongful execution is premeditated murder and someone must pay the ultimate price for that.

Executing murderers, rapists, prison rapists and kidnappers is a no brainer. It always has been. Date rape is usually not rape btw.

Execution should be by hanging, in an area accessible to the public.

And, for those truly egregious cases where the murderer being executed pulls in the out-of-towners, picnic tables should be available to those spectators who want to pack a lunch and make a day of it.

If horse stealing was a hanging offense, why isn't auto theft?
Think the insurance companies would get behind that one?

Set up a gillitine on court square. Death is instantanious. There is no electric burn to worry about, no misfires to be econcerned about, no trap door problems and no waste of drugs. Public exicutions have been legal since prehistoric times and should be happening now.
The death penalty is ugly. Its supposed to be. Capital crimes are even uglier. Like it or not exicution is the right right award for the approprite crime.

"I want a public execution. I want retribution. I want revenge and I want a deterrent to this happening again,"...

...she raves, knitting needles clacking.

"Twenty-eight," mumbles Madame Defarge, sitting beside her, keeping tally.

I think that, more than the death penalty, we need to bring back our mental institutions. I am not calling for a return to "Marat Sade" type institutions of the past, but a place to hold and protect the dangerously mentally ill, and protect the public at the same time.

Here is my take on the death penalty it should be used for a lot more crimes I think car theft should be punished with death but it should not be used if there is any question of fact.

And executions should always be public and televised.

Right on! The death penalty doesn't deter anyone but on the other hand nobody who gets it is a repeat offender.
