Operation Infinite Freep; Colorado Style, July 27,2002
Colorado Chapter of Free Republic ^ | 7/27/02 | Tom Buchanan

Posted on 07/27/2002 6:46:16 PM PDT by fivetoes

It was a great day on the North East corner of Mulberry and College in Ft. Collins. Freepers in attendance this week were:
RMRattlesnake and family
Trteamer
Bikertrash and his son
fivetoes
There were several members of the VFW Post 1781, Joe and Jim and several others.
Seven members of the Fife and Drum Corps
One candidate for Larimer County Treasurer

Several of us, including the fife and drum corps, just made it in time as we were marching in the Larimer county parade and had to fight the traffic to make it on time for the rally.

You really have to hand it to the Fife and Drum Corps. They practice weekly and seem to be out at every event that involves restoring our liberty.

Today's fine looking group of supporters of liberty.

Bikertrash and his son once again answer the call to support our troops.

Members of the Colorado Patriots Fife and Drum Corps.
From left to right John, Dick, David, Paul and Roy.

Jim, Doug (Trteamer) and Joe. I think we have converted Jim as our newest Freeper.

RMRattlesnake and his fine family are always there for the cause of freedom.

The Fife and Drum in action. These guys know how to pick the shady spot and they deserve it!

Steve Miller, our candidate for county treasurer. It sure is great to see politicians willing to take a stand! Steve was in the Navy and his two sons are serving the the United States Marine Corps. OORAH!

Another shot of the fabulous Fife and Drum Corps.

Trteamer and his (wife's) latest sign.

A couple of after Freep action shots. We are invited to the local VFW hall for refreshments and air conditioned talk after the weekly rally.

Ft. Collins is really progressive. We must yield to all folks regardless of their intelligence. It is diversity run amuck.

As always, I get a bit mouthy and I tried to explain their signs to them. One of their signs read
'Support Out Troops
Bring Them Home Now'
I told them that we all want our troops home, but there is a job to do first. Somehow I don't picture any of those folks completing any task once they start, if they do start anything at all. They want us to spend billions on EDUKATION (sp) instead of fighting terrorism. I tried to explain that the word education was not in the Constitution. Better yet, perhaps we should export our educational system over seas. It may be a better tactic for the long term fight on terrorism. 8-) Another one of their signs said 'No New war on IRAQ'. We don't want a new war either, but rather finish the one we started. Then there was the "Democracy Requires Truth' sign. Again I tried to educate them to thae fact that the word 'democray' was not in the Constitution. I don't think they got the what is is comments.

Anyway, I had a good time as did the rest of the folks on the 'sunny side of the street'.

I think we should Rally behind our troops and do great big thank you to them on or around 9-11. Imaging Freepers across the country, in every little hamlet and large city coming together at he same time to say THANK YOU for preserving our liberty!

I love the Fort Collins signs. It is funny how they all gather under that tree and no one can read most of there signs. We made a difference today.

Great job and great report. The word is spreading because of dedicated patriots like you. My democrat parents have really struggled with their "conservative" offspring...were very upset when we were going to participate in the March for Justice (they were thinking Vietnam type protests). When we got home that sunday they called, watched the whole thing with friends, taped it, were bummed that they couldn't find us...and dad's favorite speaker was ReJoyce, although he was impressed with all.

I have engaged in local and statewide activism and today shared a recent experience with my lifelong democratic mother where we were able to rollback a "railroading by government". Keep in mind we have forever fought politics and she has viewed me as rabid politics the past few years. Today she said "we need more people like you because it took one person to get prayer out of school because the rest of us sat around and did nothing...thinking this would never happen...it's time we start standing up and be counted for..." I'll tell you what...that totally blew my mind and is a clear endorsement of what you, freepers and FR are doing....

So big time thanks...

I know what you mean. My mother is a democrat from way back when. I choose not to discuss politics with her as I come UNglued.

For some strange reason THEY just don't get it, or they pretend not to get it. I hae been told that the guy in the blue outfit holding the No More New War..sign is a true communist. The guy standing next to him just stares across the street at us.

Howdy fivetoes! What a blast we had. Your new street sign for the idiots had me laughing for five minutes. Great! The photos are on their way around the world to our troops as you read this. Thanks. Today the useful idiots had a new pink banner that said "Consider the Alternatives". I have considered the alternatives all day and have come to the obvious conclusion: We must appologize to Sadaam. I hope this alternative is acceptable. This is my first attempt to post a photo on Free Republic, Special thanks go to mtngrl and fivetoes for the help! All the Best!
