Retired airline Pilot Capt. Ray Lahr has brought suit against the NTSB for release of the data pertaining to the alleged "zoom-climb" by TWA800. NTSB has stated that this event was what the hundreds of witnesses observed prior to the TWA800 explosion.

You can view the amended complaint in it's entirety here:

And, BTW........Just who was William Kabofovic?

"Never mind that,..."

And WHY should I "never mind that?"

If the NTSB likes to cover things up

Did you just get off the boat? You really believe our government doesn't lie to us to protect their a***ss? Hell, they lie to us just for the fun of it. DC is nothing but a cesspool of lies and unbelievable corruption. You gotta open your eyes and do a lot more reading here on FR. We're truth seekers not cynics.

The idea that there was a cover-up on this is laughable.

No the FBI is laughable. I heard on the radio after it happened that there were witnesses that saw a flare like going up at the plane and then there was an explosion. The FBI didn't want to "find" these witnesses. The coverup could be for the Navy that screwed up or terrorists did it and they sure don't want that let out. And why was the NTSB so quick to rule out a missile? In any event like this there should not be a rush to judgement. All the bases need to be covered and sometimes that takes a lot of time. They came to a unusually fast decision which helps me think coverup.

Hmm. Then I wonder how cynics feel about public servants.

Looks to me that you'll have to talk to a few of them.

And WHY should I "never mind that?"

Perhaps I should have worded it differently, it was just a figure of speech. However, as much as you might be interested in who this Kabofovic guy is and why Asmodeus keeps referring to him, I'D like to know why he's using Dr. Gregory Harrison's name in such a way as to imply that Dr. Harrison endorses his website and/or has provided material to him.

So perhaps I should have said, "Additionally", or "One other thing", or "On top of that", but alas, I said "Never mind that". A poor choice of words in a formal discussion I suppose. It'd be akin to saying "get out of here" in a joking way to communicate shock or amusement, when the other person misunderstands the attempt at humor and gets up and leaves.

You obviously can pursue whatever discussion you want with Asmodeus, and you obviously don't need my blessing or permission to do so.

Explanation accepted........BTW, It was I who first brought up Mr. Kabofovic. Ever since that time Assmo has been including him in various of his posts to try and elicit some sort of response from me, which he will no doubt twist and turn into one of his usual Frankensteinish misinterpretations.

I should have an article soon on Mr Kabofovic, I believe many will find interesting.

HAS "ROKKE" RENEGED ON HIS "OFFER" TO ME?

I will offer this to you. I will not be intentionly misleading or argumentative in my posts to you.

Hey JF, pointing out a simple fact is not being argumentative. Continuing to deny that fact is being argumentative. The simple fact is you have no statement from Boeing disavowing the NTSB video. End of story. No argument. If you will do a quick review of your own posts I believe you will find a continuous stream of insults, abuse, and name calling. Yet you are the one whining to the moderators. Grow up child, and base your assumptions on pure fact. Not what you wish was fact.

8:31:43-8:31:47 Streak of light appears.
8:31:47 Explosion of Massive Fireball at 5500-7500 feet.

According to the radar returns, the last return of the main body of TWA800 before it hit the water was at 8:31:48. Considering an error of up to 4.69 seconds due to the period of the Isplip radar sweep, TWA800 hit the water between 8:31:48 to 8:31:53

You claim that TWA800 was at 5500 - 7500 feet at 8:31:47. IF it had been at that altitude a simple physics calcultion should tell us how long it would take to hit the water from that height.

Given that d = (g * t2)/2, where;
d = distance in feet
g = acceleration due to gravity = 32 feet / s2
t = time in seconds

to find the number of seconds it would take for an object to fall from a certain height the equation becomes;

t = sqrt(2d/g)

So, to calculate the time needed for TWA800 to fall from 5500 feet, the equation becomes;
t = sqrt((2*5500)/32) = 18.54 seconds.

Calculating for 7500 feet, we have;
t = sqrt((2*7500)/32 = 21.65 seconds.

So, IF TWA 800 was at 5500 - 7500 feet as you say, it would have hit the water between 8:32:06 and 8:32:09 WELL beyond the actual splashdown which occured between 8:31:48 and 8:31:53.

Additionally, to find the TRUE height of TWA800 at 8:31:47, we can use the original equation, d=(g*t2)/2; Calculating for 8:31:48, we have a one second difference, and for 8:31:53, we have a 6 second difference.

d = (32 * 12)/2 = 16 feet,
d = (32 * 62)/2 = 576 feet.

So, the altitude of TWA800 was between 16 feet and 576 feet at 8:31:47, NOT 5500 - 7500 feet as you claim.

You're timeline and altitude estimates are absolute hogwash..

8:31:55-8:31:57 Splashdown of the Massive Fireball flames.

Again, the main body finally splashed down into the water between 8:31:48 and 8:31:53.

Boeing's statement concerning the CIA video should also apply to the NTSB video, as the CIA obtained it's data from the NTSB, who still relied on this so-called "zoom-climb" for it's assertion that this is what witnesses had seen. In any event, the zoom-climb is a physical impossibilty, and anyone with an understanding of high school physics could figure that out...

BTW Rokke, you still haven't answered my question as to why do YOU think the CIA was involved with the now discredited TWA 800 zoom-climb video?

Well of course John. The first person in the list of names is the person being responded to, whereas secondary names are there in order for those persons to be alerted to a post.

In other words, I was "pinging" you to the post FYI...

As you can see, I was responding to Asmodeus's faulty timeline. His timeline and altitude analysis are pure bunk.
