Dead bird found on White House lawn to be tested for West Nile Virus

WASHINGTON (AP) A dead crow discovered on the White House grounds was infected with West Nile virus, health officials said after the bird was tested.

The crow is one of two found near a fountain on the South Lawn this week. The first was discovered late Sunday by Secret Service officers, who then found the second early Monday.

I hate to be the one to bring reality to you Mr. HellInAHandcrt but I was trained in NBC Defense for the United States Marine Corps and yes countries do in fact use mosquitoes as biological gents to spread disease. We even tested this out ears ago ourselves. Mosquitoes were dropped in multiple bomblets behind enemy lines these mosquitoes would bite and infect enemy soldiers with various illnesses. I don't mean to be crude here but it is hard for your enemy to fight when he is constantly havign to relieve his bowels.

It is perfectly logical to suspect that west nile virus, dengue fever and others were in fact brought here by al-qaeda, hezbollah or any of a a dozen other terrorist outfits.

The fact that you and others immediiately dismiss the idea only shows that you are lacking the facts. All you have to do is a quick search on "mosquito" and "biological weapons" if you want to investigate this for yourself, heres one quick excerpt that took me all of 10 seconds to locate

And like I said my expertise comes from actual NBC training not rumor but you can at least search for the facts before spreading your disinformation that this is all a joke.

I suggest you see my previous post. You shouldn't pretend to have an informed opinion when it is so readily apparent that you do not.

Why exactly is it that you feel that mosquitos with this disease appearing in the midwest is evidence that this is not an attack? Do you feel that mosquitos cannot exist in the midwest or that terrorists do not exist in the midwest? Which is it? I would also ask you this question, exactly when was the last time that you heard of West Nile Virus in the U.S.?

Ok since no one else will answer, I tried to get you guys to actually look for some facts, I'll answer the question that I posed.

When did West Nile Virus first show up in the U.S.

You're not telling me anything I didn't already know, sheep-dip; I happen to live in the area under discussion. You're leaving out the age and prior medical status of the dead (Hint, this disease does not go around killing perfectly healthy people)

Now tell me how many people in NYC, in the same age/health demographic, died from complications from the common cold or the flu during the same time period.

Keep in mind we're 10 million people in close quarters. The mosquitoes have a target-rich environment. Yet in three years only 149 people have come down with the disease and only eighteen have died. And I'm supposed to consider this a threat? A diabolical plot? LMAO

You handwringers are such a joke sometimes. May all future terrorist plots be as insidiously diabolical as this one.

My comment on the misquitoes being in the midwest was to show they are further than the east coast by quite a bit.

I never pretend to know everything , I only share what I have read in the interest of sharing information and learning more. But I'm not blind and I don't defend what this corrupt government is doing to further world rule.

My comment about us only being along for the ride , refers to us American's not being a positive part of the equation anymore. We no longer matter and are just along for the ride.

Whether it be our own government killing us , or setting us up to be killed by another government in the interest of world rule.

I had heard quite awhile ago that England was heavy into mind control and LSD.

Other reading says that the English nobility has been known as the Black Nobility because of satan worship since the 1200's.

There's so much information that it would be a full time job to research it.

But to me the push for world rule dispite human losses is obvious. I know all means will be used , and history shows that any means are acceptable. As shown in the "world wars" in the slaughter/sacrifice of millions of unarmed men , women and children.

This wouldn't be possible if all of man's laws were based on and supported Gods' Laws. Which is why we must be separated from our God in Incorporated churches .

The solution is simple , but too many people calling themselves Christians want to sit on their hands and wait for God to handle it.

He has handled everything for us. Christ gave us Free Will and we have to be strong enough to stand up with Christ and do the right things , instead of waiting on Him to do it for us.

MOSQUITO ALERT ISSUED AT WHITE HOUSE: WEST NILE INFECTED BIRD FOUND DEAD ON GROUNDS

A mosquito alert has been issued at the White House -- after a dead bird discovered on the mansion's grounds tests positive for West Nile virus.

"Preliminary tests show the presence of West Nile," a health official said this weekend of the decomposing crow found by the Secret Service near a fountain on the South Lawn. "Mosquitoes spread the disease, all parties in the area should be on guard."

"The White House grounds are constantly sprayed for mosquitoes, I would put this low on the list of concerns," a Bush insider told the DRUDGE REPORT late Sunday.

The insider scoffed at talk among low-ranking staffers that someone may have planted an infected bird on the White House grounds as a terrorist act.

"No one here is taking that seriously. It is my understanding that dozens of sick [West Nile] birds are showing up all over northwest [Washington]."

But one White House staffer who contacted the DRUDGE REPORT was less confident.

"More people died last year from this thing than all who died from the anthrax outbreak! Hell, I'm worried."

West Nile has killed 18 people since its appearance in the United States in 1999, and caused notable infections in 161, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Infected birds or mosquitoes have appeared in 28 states so far this year.

In the average healthy person the virus causes no symptoms, or perhaps a vaguely flu-like feeling. But for the elderly, the disease can cause encephalitis or meningitis -- inflammations of the brain and spinal cord.

Local state officials report hundreds of calls a day from concerned citizens who find dead birds, fearing the birds may be infected with West Nile.
